I agree, post very little on FR....I would not mind that the Feds get involved...It’s their constitutional duty.
And, people wonder why we won’t even drive through California anymore. I wish all Freepers (and freedom loving people) could leave the sorry state.
Understood. However, immigration is a Fed responsibility, not a state issue.
CA is also setting up charitable funds like the Desert Train Fund, the Good housing for Illegals etc. You contribute to them when your SALT is greater than $10,000 and they give you a credit or 5 pound bag of avocados. I wonder how INTUIT (Turbo Tax) feels about putting that in the tax return? I think they might be in California however it’s fraud, mail fraud and criminal charges for executives. Right
This was all show, meaningless grandstanding.
The things they said are now “illegal” are practices that employers just don’t do anyhow.
For example, if the government comes to my office and says they want to see my employee files, I say show me a warrant or you see nothing.
The new “law” says it is illegal to show your files without a warrant.
Its a federal law and you can't push the cost of enforcing it off on these local taxpayers.
Bush and the GOP had enough money to double the number of border patrol officers but went broke and never hired any new ICE agents.
Local law enforcement was never involved until Bush and the GOP tried to change it. Back then, local law enforcement agencies all over were begging Bush for more ICE agents.
Becerra is an insurrection ship. In reality, all veterans living in California have a sworn duty to remove Becerra from office and hold him for Federal authorities, to be tried for treason. this treason must be stopped. Threatening California residents from obeying the federal law? California is run by a dictator
I concur with what has said. To go further: If you recall during the previous administration when Arizona tried to enforce federal immigration laws, they were denied by the courts due to the fact that it was ruled a 'federal responsibility'. So to Kalifornia: That was a 9th Circuit ruling. Go luck trying to with this battle in court. Then again... see tagline.
But that makes it a crime to voluntarily assist the feds without a warrant.

CA will finally go into insolvency having to pay for resulting successful lawsuits.

Charge with interfering with federal law enforcement and arrest anyone making such statements.

It’s CA against the USA. In the interest of states’ rights, I propose that CA secede and join Venezuela.
I think it is a crime to open up your personnel records without a warrant. I could be wrong.
But crime or no crime, what employer is going to tell a Fed guy, sure, come in and dig through my personnel files?
That’s insane.
