I'd hazard that most Freepers have listened to Prager, but haven't become fans. Dennis is intellectually stimulating, but kind of boring to listen to.
It's the 'sizzle factor'. Dennis just doesn't have it.
If you favored Cruz and later made CONSTRUCTIVE criticism of Trump, you were banned from FR, alleging “neverTrumpism”.
Never mind that I was actively working for the Trump Campaign at the County level, at the time.
Levin was very vocal and unequivocal about his distaste for Trump, during the primary and the general.
When he stated that he was voting for Trump, he made it clear that he was holding his nose.
Due to his incessant NeverTrump rants, I tuned him out for a year and a half. I've noticed lately, though, that Mark has become a staunch defender of the President.
Because of that, I don't reflexively turn him off anymore.
There were a lot of people who didnt believe that Trump was a viable candidate at various stages.
I try to keep in mind I will personally be wrong on things, and hope that I will be given the chance, if I recognize it and own up to it, to be allowed by others to admit I was wrong and to change my mind.
I am wrong often enough to make this appear important to me...and I can be pretty stubborn.
I have sure had to hold my nose for various candidates, thats for sure.
I fully jumped back on with Levin since he has been going ballistic (since early on) about the FISA issue...
Levin had an excellent segment on Hannity — I think it was last night.
I think of Dana Perino as a Bush-adoring airhead bimbo who got lucky in ber career. When I used to watch The Five, the smart people would laugh at her a lot because of her grammar, idiotic observations, etc. Bolling and Gutfeld gave her a hard time. She thinks she’s so adorable.
I have never found Dennis to be very interesting on the radio. But I love his writings. Few writers are as succinct as he is.
Prager did encourage his listeners to vote for Trump.
Aw...you got your widdle feewings hurt.
It's called, "getting on the bandwagon".
Those videos from Prager u are priceless. Everyone should look them up on YouTube. They are great to show non conservatives. They are animated, short, and very to the point.
I havent seen his climate change one. So many are so good. One prompted a long discussion with one of my millennial kids. Great videos at Prager U.
Love Prager. He is on opposite Rush in our area, I click between the two in commercials...works great. What a mind and so thoughtful.
Prager should not be categorized at a “Never Trumper”. But perhaps his actions were worse that a Never Trumper.
Prager damned Trump with “faint praise”: Trump is the lesser evil than Hillary.
In other words, Prager saw Trump as evil, just lesser so than Hillary.
Prager has recanted that and admitted a misperception on his part of Trump, but has again done so in a way that, once again, damns Trump.
Prager is out with an article today saying Trump’s bad character has no bearing on his implementing good policies. What bad character? He married all has wives. Every woman who dated him says he is the perfect gentleman. He has raised fine children who don’t smoke, drink or use bad language. He doesn’t verbally attack anyone but he fights back if anyone libels him.
Prager’s theology promotes the Jewish civil religion of “niceness”. If you are not nice, you are not good. This is the speck or log in Prager’s eye that blinds him to a clear view of Trump. It is the perspective of the Knowledge or Intellectual Class of moral superiority over the Business and Working Classes.
Exactly...they are valuable for that reason alone. The attention span of so many people is so short that if it takes longer than two minutes, they glaze over.
I work with physicians, and you have to encapsulate everything in a bullet for them...it isn’t that they aren’t smart, it is just that they often don’t have time for you to not get to the point!
Waiting for his book on Exodus due in April.
Prager got me into cigars, and the synagogue where I went for a year which was the most formative for my religious outlook.
He had always said he would vote for Trump were he the nominee, and has since become a champion of the President’s accomplishments.
Granted, he’s had marital problems, hopefully now geared for life with wife #3. But it’s important for him to be married, and he has maintained friendships with his former spouses.
My real beef with him is that his Torah material is beyond the range I’m willing to pay. Though I guess that’s my problem more than his.
Thank you for attempting it.
You mention a study of Exodus. That’s great. You should know, however, that Christ said it speaks of him. Not directly of course, but in types and foreshadows. To study Exodus without Him in mind would be simply academic.
Christians are Christians, as without them, the United States could never have been founded.
