These kinds of infantile, petulant protests, make the Eagles look bad, not President Trump.
They should rethink their strategy here.
There attendance will tank next season.
They should celebrate national wife and girl-friend beating day instead...

It should not be automatic that these professional teams be invited to the WH. They are paid lots of money, get lots of press etc. WH should focus on amateur teams.

I’ve never listened to a rap song. I intend never to do so.
The first thing coach Peterson did after winning the SB was thank his Lord and Savior, QB’s Wentz and Foles are both vocal practicing Christians, star receiver Ertz is married to a star women’s soccer player, the team regularly holds Bible and prayer sessions in the locker room during the football season - strong conservative credentials with the team as a whole - I would be amazed if all hands rejected an invite from the White House........
We’ll know soon enough. Hope you’re right, or that President Trump doesn’t invite them. I don’t want him embarrassed for any reason.
I’m guessing Trump can just do what I did - search for “Patriotic High School Football Team Wins”:
“On Friday, the pre-game walkout by the Sherman E Burroughs High School [California] football team consisted of each player carrying an American flag onto the field while Lee Greenwood’s God Bless the USA played in the background.”
I bet those kids would be thrilled to visit the White House.
I don’t think Trump invites teams to the White House as a personal favor to himself - he does it officially as President in a gesture to honor the teams on behalf of the nation - it’s pretty ironic that those trying to make big names for themselves by protesting how poorly their grievance-group has been treating by the country would reject an opportunity to actually go and receive national recognition and praise - I think those who can’t show a bit of graciousness and respect by putting aside their gripes for a few hours to accept such recognition and praise, and/or are too ignorant to even understand what it’s all about, embarrass themselves......
Good plan. It’s all trash.
Let’s see some real profiles in courage by Peterson, Wentz, Foles, Ertz etal.
Some of this think the NFL is too far gone to be salvaged, but these guys have a chance to prove us wrong.
