Sen Grassley told Trump that if he fires Sessions the Senate will not confirm whoever Trump nominates to be AG. So Trump can not fire Sessions, to do so put Rosestein in charge of DOJ. Grassley’s got Trump by the short hairs.

Bears repeating, for the "Trump can fire him anytime!" crowd.

Well spoken like a true liberal A$$Hat. Anyone disagreeing with the Sessions BS is a DRUNK. KMA. Just because you are either too stupid to understand or too cowardly to admit it. Sessions has rendered himself worthless. He is a deer in the headlights guy. Will take the credit after Trump fights and wins.

Chaffetz has also previously said one of the primary reasons Sessions should be fired is because Sessions directly told Chaffetz that he didn't believe that it was proper for the new Administration to file any charges against the previous administration.

If this is true, then the next third would administration we have (Obama's was the first) can just politicize all arms of the federal government with impunity (like the Obama administration did) with the knowledge that none of them will be in legal trouble for their misdeeds.

“The answer given here is ridiculous. I don’t know who you are describing here, but it’s not the Trump I know.”

All good businessmen are pragmatists. If not, we would not be waffling on the wall and the removal of O care reconciliation. We just signed off on a TWO YEAR budget deal thereby losing whatever leverage the executive had over a Congress. This sham investigation tied up his hands and the one way to break the log jam is to get rid of Mule head and the DOJ goons. He needs to take it directly to the opposition by being up in their face. If he did, that would be the Trump I know. Right now, we are finessing around the edges and by letting this thing run its course he is doing nothing but buying time for the left by in effect dealing against himself through the extension of time allotted for this fiasco to continue right up into the mid terms.

Sessions is worthless as sin. Trump should have demanded his resignation as soon as he recused. It was a valid reason. If the AG can’t fulfill his full duties, he should not be AG.

The bogus Russia investigation has turned out to be the most important duty the AG had, and he has been completely MIA.

Fire him now!

Sessions is a very poor reflection of the Trump administration.

Chaffetz is not exactly a Trump ally and he did rather suddenly decide he didn’t want to be in Congress anymore, just saying. I wouldn’t put much store in his opinion on this matter, matter of fact I’d put more store in doing the opposite.

“Grassley tells Attorney General Sessions his memo doesn’t comply with law”

Has Sessions’ memo been published? I can’t fine it anywhere.
It was a DOJ internal memo to dept heads to knock off the leaks. Plain and simple. Grassley takes issue that the memo didn’t include a proviso for the Whistleblower Protection Act. A silly complaint IMHO.

I’m not a big Chaffetz fangirl but he’s right about Sessions. The buy was a terrible choice.

Sessions is clearly NOT up to the job of AG. Yes, he’s a nice, old southern gentleman, but so far he has been a complete failure as AG.

The longer Trump tolerates this obvious big weakness in the strategically key job, the weaker his administration will become.

Can’t imagine that such an experienced businessman as Trump can’t see the hand writing on the wall about this issue.

You would think that DonJr. and Eric would have a “comet Jesus “ moment with their dad. They must see and hear from others how awful Sessions has been.

Excellent analysis. Not to mention, if a Democrat follows Trump, we should expect them to continue to harrass if not arrest him and his family, if they haven't already by then. Such is the state of our country right now.

Bingo! And the fact that Jeffy even said this, clearly indicates he is part of the swamp, and needs to be removed. Crime is Crime, and needs to be prosecuted! No free rides!!

If Sessions isn’t lining up his ducks

Rest assured Jeffy has them lined up and is drawing a bead on them from his duck blind near a lake in an undisclosed location - just far from DC is all they would say.

What makes a man do that?

The prospect of having his name in the papers, and having everyone talking about him. Just plain inflated ego is all.

President Trump is not afraid to fire anyone he thinks isn’t doing the job.

I am not sure that is the case or not. Mueller is still there. Rosenstein is still there along with a lot of others. But it is certainly an appropriate question. Either Trump is OK with Sessions or he is afraid and impotent to fire him. Trump can't have it both ways. We shall see.
