Black musicians are typically more interested in Jazz, marching band, and other genres. They can play many of the same instruments, and people like Wynton Marsalis do, very well I might add. Condi Rice is an incredible piano player.

Classical music is practiced around the world. There are numerous examples of Asians, women, blacks, homosexuals, etc. being involved in it at various levels. The real issue is that one is either with the medium or not. It is highly demanding to the extent that if one’s compositional, performance or technical efforts are not up to the task, then that’s just too damned bad for that person who is then welcome to try their hand at something else.
If that is not sufficient for its detractors then they can go to hell.

Classical music is a product of European culture, carried on by their descendants. It is open to everyone now, of course, but to try to separate this aspect of culture from the very people who created it by claiming that their dominant participation in that culture is some sort of evidence of dysfunction on their part is nothing short of revisionist gaslighting of the highest order. It is akin to breaking into someone’s house and then calling the police on the owners saying that they are squatting on your property.
