Did this man really run the Boston Marathon route 4 times (104.8 miles) in 18 hours almost non-stop?

I live a couple of hundred feet from the route and over the last few days there's been a steady stream of people who I assume are just doing dry runs.Tomorrow is predicted to be a horrible day here...torrential rains and wind. That should make for a slightly less chaotic scene than usual.

I didn’t realize that she had also faked the NYC Marathon sub-3 hour finish in 1979. Doesn’t surprise me whatsoever though.

I used to live in Natick. I lived in one of the condo complexes opposite the Commuter rail station. I work just down from the train station.
I couldnt get to work on Marathon day.
What a pain in the ass that was.

Lover ran once and has the finisher’s medal to prove it.

I run 100 mile ultra-marathons. (5 finishes) The winner of the most recent Umstead 100 did it in 14:04.

Now he can proudly display an oval bumper sticker with 104.4 emblazoned on it.
Although I remain skeptical every time I see one of those.

White Pigeon, Michigan is named after a Potawatomie Chief. He was at a gathering of chieftains in Detroit, and became aware of a plan to attack the village. He ran 150 miles on trails to warn the settlers of the attack. He arrived, delivered the plan, and soon collapsed and died. He is buried in the village.

But we could live in the Yukon or even MN. Thank God for what we have.
