An oldie but a goodie, thanks.
Great post!
Wonderful, accurate historic post! It is time to cut these horrid, selfish ingrates loose and let them fend for themselves. BTW, I have a great-uncle who gave his life for these ungrateful people, in1918, in WWI. He was 27 years old.
You too?
Damn, I'm proud to be an American!
Bless you for posting this!
Can’t argue with that!
Outstanding!
How many Americans buried in France? 66,000 ! They owe us , big time.
Amen.
Wonderful!

Above is a link to a local Christian musician. He wrote a song called “Unknown”. He has a long intro on how the song came to be. He came across a WWI cemetery for Americans (Belleu Woods). At 3:00 in he talks about how as he walkther through the cemetery he came upon a cross marker that said “Here lies an American soldier, unknown but to God.”
At 4:00 in he starts singing. The song wonders about “Isn’t there a father, mother, brother, sister wondering when he’ll be home? Somebody that knew all of his hopes and dreams...”
Sad song, but comforting in that God knew (knows?) all about him, and he is not forgotten. I’ve read where in some of these small towns with an American cemetery, the town people still take great pride and care for them.
Brought tears to my eyes. Heard some of these before but still great.
Bttt.

French arm surplus rifles for sale
Never been fired, only dropped once ......
I read somewhere that Eisenhower once said that he would rather have two divisions of Germans in front of him than one division of French behind him.
Thank you.
Amen, windflier! I wish all Americans realized how blessed we are to have been born/immigrated here.
Best post I’ve Ever seen Anywhere forever.
In the early 60s my late uncle was in an airborne unit in France at some point and had to serve in an honor guard for De Gaul and he said he was the most arrogant ahole he encountered in his whole life. He served as aid to General Westmoreland before Vietnam.
I have another friend who was in the army in France near the German border and the frogs told the army they were going to tax the soldiers because they lived in France and the general said the hell you will and within 30 days they were moved a couple of clicks across the border into Germany. He despised the French.
