If Carrie Fisher had starred in a movie called Leia in 1984, I would have loved it, but Commander Purple Hair Evening Dress was a waste of time.

Something really bad seems to have happened to the advertising for this. I saw the first ad around here TODAY! Somebody seems to have it in for Ron Howard in looney lefty land.
star wars has always been about little boys pretending to be heroes. its about cops and robbers. its the mythology of boyhood. When social justice virtual signaling got injected in and what little boys loved was ignored star wars died.
at this point because of the poison coming out of the studio the franchise is dead for the next five years. Disney needs to admit all its blunders and fire most of those people working at Lucas films that are in management. the franchise can recover but anyone who made decisions on the story creative side needs to leave.

Well, you cast han solo with a metrosexual and there you go.
The worst performing books in the now legends releases were the Solo oriented prequels. Don’t know a single person who really desired to know more about the character.
Time will tell. Last Jedi did no favors to the property, but I really think subject matter was more the issue here.
