Anyone who pulls this kind of crap deserves to be imprisoned for attempted murder. An innocent man lost his life recently because some idiot SWATted him - this is nothing less than attempt to manipulate the police into killing someone.
Seems 50/50 to me whether those guys are legit or not. The way they joked around with the reporter sounded a bit like they were hoaxing him. In any case I suspect they will all be explaining themselves to LE real soon.

Bad people will call the police and give them an address of someone they don't like. They will tell the cops there are dead bodies, a hostage situation, or some armed individual barricaded at the address, in the hopes of the SWAT teams showing up and shooting the people at the address.

This is heinous - no matter who the target is.
The police are not our friends; they can be turned against us at the whim of a leftist chief or the call of an anonymous hacker.
