Maybe so, but it still was extremely tasteless of them to try and insinuate the whole “pansexuality” card for him. That certainly drove away fans. I wasn’t a fan of when they did the whole thing with LeFou in the 2017 BATB remake, I certainly am not going to like it when they do it to Lando either, regardless of whether it played out in the movie or not (plus, technically, LeFou was not actually stated to be gay in the actual script and only was stated to be that by Bill Condon).
They only said it because a stupid reporter asked them about it.
Doesn’t matter. They could always have said “I am under no obligation to answer that question” or something like that. Or better yet, say “no, Lando is not pansexual.”
