Dwindling sanity and cowardly lions of industry are the high price of tolerating them at all.

Here is the point the article does not clearly state.... The smart students transferred because they are smart enough to realize with just a couple clicks on HR resume software employers will weed out names of schools like Evergreen, Oberlin etc. WHY? As a business owner why in the world would you take the risk of hiring a trouble maker that will disrupt your work environment trying to re live their room 222 SJW fantasies in your own business.... Um so I would tell the HR director to outright reject any resume with those schools in them. THAT is what those idiots need to realize....

You state that at some point not having a college degree will hold one back in their career. That's probably true in most cases. There are also those fields such as teaching, nursing, engineering, that require degrees.

In many cases, that degree can be earned online while one is in the work force. My distaste is for loans to get an undergraduate degree and for college environments that have become in some situations dangerous and even evil.

Another point is that those three schools don’t (didn’t) accept 100% of applicants. So applications to the schools may have dropped at double the number of the reduced freshmen enrollment.

It would also cause the schools to lower their application standards just to get the enrollment they report.

That will be damage that could take a decade to fix.

I believe that particular incident - the TrigglyPuff - will be viewed 50 years from now as the turning point where reasonable people had just seen enough. I would seriously hire an ex convict if possible before hiring a “graduate” from any of those schools.

It will take at least a gereration, and the schools might not survive. Its like turning an aircraft carrier. There’s a lot of mass.

None of the aforementioned schools won't be able to follow the model of Gonzaga University, whose enrollment is up nearly 90% over the past 20 years. Gonzaga caught lightning in 1999 in the NCAA basketball tournament, and it created a ton of free publicity for the school.

I remembered it as a sleepy little campus as an undergraduate, with small class sizes and undergraduate enrollment of about 2000.

Now they're up to 5500 undergrads, with newer and expanded facilities. I was up there last summer, and it still felt like home to me.

I think kids should seriously consider the trades with some business classes. Learn the trade with the plan of starting their own business 5-10 years later. Have them read The Millionaire Next Door; it may open their eyes to new possibilities.

The real question is, will any of these schools and other universities change their blatant SJW policies ?

No.

He states very clearly what he meant by "cashing a check."

Do you think he meant something other than what he said (justice and equality)?

I think MLK's used of the "check" metaphor is the very genesis of the SJW's "you owe me" attitude, and was inteded as such.

IMHO, the opening paragraph using the "check" is out of place with the rest of the speech and lays the fondation of claiming America to be institutionally racist.
