I predict few will show up at the Capitol, either - unless the SEIU starts busing in paid mourners. I asked a friend to lunch on Friday and she wanted to grab lunch after visiting the Capital and McCain. I said I could do lunch but didn't know about going to the Capitol.

I’m sure there will be plenty of swamp critters attending in DC.

I can only imagine the thoughts of all the LEO’s and military types who were ordered to attend this circus. Dressed in 102+ degree heat with long sleeved shirts and full dress uniforms, you know they had to be roasting and silently cursing. So thoughtful of the McCain’s to subject them to this meaningless feel good (for McCain’s only) pagentry. What a farce.

It happens, especially in high profile, celebrity type funerals. McCain planned this for a year and knew exactly what he wanted. He wanted a State Funeral like a Head of State and they are pretty much giving it him.

Thousands have showed up. That's the media, dear. Real Americans are staying away in droves.

Those that are speaking out about going to pay their respects begin by saying they are a Democrat but respect him very much... They should, he was on their side when it counted, time after time.

If that should happen, who would pay them? The DNC doesn’t have two cents to rub together (to hear them tell it). All this showboating is a bit much.

Truth be told, the lovely Sarah is a political rock star, and you KNOW narcissist McCain really hated that. He ended up treating her like cr@p, but she was always classy and loyal.
Sarah was told to stay away from the funeral by bitter McCain lackeys who knew if she showed up, she’d steal the show.

Seemed to me there was no crowd.
At least that is what it looked like while I was watching local television.

Im sure there will be plenty of swamp critters attending in DC. With plenty of sycophantic coverage from national and local media. I plan to not watch any news this weekend so I can avoid the slobber fest.

No, the state is not in mourning.
People are going to work and it’s business as usual.
