Similar story. I began working when I was 18. When signing up for our benefits, I was told to contact Susie Washburn to establish a credit union account. I found her number and dialed the phone. The phone was answered in a very deep manly voice with a simple “Accounting”. I said “Excuse me sir, Susie Washburn please”. To which the person on the other replied “speaking”. I wanted to crawl under a rock.
