I had a condo on the 53rd floor. All the floors look the same. Got off on the 52nd one night. Fortunately i noticed right away that my key didn’t fit.
Then realized i was on the wrong floor
That sounds like a most logical explanation. We’ll find out if that’s what actually happened.
< Was the strange man armed or pointing a gun at her? If not, why would she immediately shoot him to death? <
That sort of thing is happening with sickening regularity. As I noted in my post #53, all the cop has to say is that the man reached for his pocket.
While we’re on the topic, the other day I was watching a Youtube video of a man stopped by police. The cop asks the man for his driver’s licence. The man tries to comply and gets shot for it.

“A firearm in any other condition is an expensive hammer.”
If you have palsy or something that prevents racking the slide.
Just curious, what makes you think it was premeditated murder?
Yep, that female equality is working out great.
That would be in conflict with the previous descriptions of the apartment building as “upscale” - however every developer/building manager uses the upscale description...:^)
Anyone know the true description of the quality of the apartments?
I ask that question all the time when it comes to politics. It’s the stupid giving positions to the stupid.
“...answering the door in a threatening manner.”
If he jerked the door open to surprise what he thought was a burglar...
Reinforces what I suspected. She was a time-bomb waiting to go off.
She saw something move, got scared, and cut loose.
At least part of the responsibility lies with her supervisors and the training she received, or did not receive. Yes, I'm guessing here.
I wonder how many hours passed before they took a blood sample - if they ever did...
Maybe thats part of the info that The Texas Rangers are revising.
>>If he jerked the door open to surprise what he thought was a burglar<<
I’ve just looked at the latest updated reports on this, and several indicate, “She walked into the wrong apartment”.

DALLAS Dallas police say one of their officers was going home after her shift when she walked into the wrong apartment and shot the man inside.
Reminds me when a female cop knocked on a trailer door while attemping to serve a civil warrant and a young lad opened the door with a game controler in his hand. BAMO - you’re dead kid! I think he made it to the age of 13.
And yes, a lot of folks here defend defended that cop, too.

Twice in my life I have opened the car door and sat down in a vehicle (parking lot) that was the same make and color as mine. We don’t normally lock car doors in these latitudes.
My key didn’t fit the ignition switch. Then I realized I wasn’t paying attention to what I was doing.
Ill take that bet.
They didnt know each other.
She ain't Travon!
One Freeper already said shame on him for having his door unlocked.
If there was I would think they'd know it by now as it would likely be revealed by the victims family, the victims friends, other residence in the building, witnesses, etc. In a story that gets this much coverage I don't think that information could be hidden or kept secret very long.
I can’t imangine the carnage if the guy had a family in there. I guess that’s the bright spot in the story.
