“Looking at RBG this evening at the swearing in, it seems that she is semi-vegetative.”
Her energy is really low, and she has had very serious health problems over many years (two types of cancer).
Her mind is still incredibly sharp though. I saw a recent interview with her (just weeks ago) where the interviewer asked her an open-ended question about women in Law. She paused a long time, that had me thinking she was way over the hill - but then she went on for ten minutes talking in a single continuous thread with a complete and detailed response, repeatedly citing names and dates (even from the 1950’s). It was a single, logically complete composition from beginning to end.
Her heart might flutter to a stop at any moment, but her mind is still sharp enough for the big leagues.
This could be a tough one for the Democrat smear machine. They can’t play the gender card. With two adopted black children, it will be difficult to play the race card. With 7 children, they could try to claim she’s neglecting the children in favor of her career, but that could be turned around as a slap in the face to working women. I guess they could try to argue that she’s anti - LGBT since she’s married to a man.
When you haven't done one dang thing other than put up the dumb sign. It has all the commitment of a T-shirt and all the depth of a bumper sticker.
BUT... when you speak clearly, act accordingly and pay up personally in a way that mortgages the rest of your life, that's not virtue-signalling. That's virtue.
Diane Feinstein has already done that. Called her dogmatic (dogma) because she is a full fledged, practicing Catholic.
Cant wait to hear how she was a teen madam running a bunch of catholic school girl hookers out of the now deceased monsieguer’s rectory.
And Kakalot Harris will accuse Barrett sexually abused her mother while she was breast fed as a baby.
You sound like someone who’s trying to take the seriousness away from the discussion of this judge. Exactly what the deep state would have you do.
The tactics of spreading division become fairly obvious once you start looking for them.
The interesting part is trying to sort out which are just naturally divisive, which are paid, and which are under orders.
“make her too political”
as long as Trump is President, ANY nomination is going to made “too political” by the Senate scum ... so Trump might as well nominate the person he thinks is best regardless of what the Dems might think ...
isn’t notre dame the :”catholic” university where they removed the crucifix and the hosts so that a pro-abortion president could speak
Democrats will say: Shes not Muslim. Its time to recognize Shariah law.
Judge Kavanaugh is awesome and it is a great victory. After sweating it out for weeks, it's nice to kick back and discuss the good Judge in a lighthearted way. No offense meant to you or the Judge. Enjoy the moment; it will be back to business as usual soon enough.
Prior to the 20th century, a few Roman Catholics were appointed, but concerns about diversity of the Court were mainly in terms of geographic diversity, to represent all geographic regions of the country, as opposed to ethnic, religious, or gender diversity.
But. Talk about Original Americans vs. immigrant Johnny-come-latelies. There's no Indians... oops, Native Americans on the Court, either, and never have been, not one.
Yes! Watch the blowback when the Demscum go after her like they did Justice Kavenaugh!
That was Georgetown.
From your lips to God’e ears.
The first strategy of the progressives, in character assassination of women conservatives, is to objectify them.
If it went over your head, learn it now.
Good stuff Lab!
The illegal alien angle is good.
I was also thinking that somehow they’ll work in the racist angle given that she adopted two black kids. Probably not culturally sensitive enough, she tried to turn them into white kids, get good grades, never took them to a rap concert, taught them to stand during the national anthem...
