The nice thing about modern times is they make infant and child versions so you don’t have to guess on dosage.

Really it does not matter because the end result will be all children or kids under a certain age will be banned from flying.

Think I’m kidding? It’s already happening in restaurants. Yes really! The owners putting up signs like “no children during certain hours” or “if your children are loud or misbehaving you will be asked to leave”. I was having a conversation about this topic with a friend of mine and he told me that he’s seen it as well but in other, subtle ways. Like restaurants not having a children’s menu or if they have a children’s menu it’s very pricey so that most parents could not or would be deterred from eating there. Once he said this? I thought about it and you know some places I have eaten used to have a children’s menu but no longer. I thought that strange but now it makes sense.

How has this effected these restaurants you ask? Their business is up 20%. No this is not Chuck E Cheese or MacDonalds which is a place for kids this is like “family” restaurants that have had to take drastic action due to bad parents.

So let’s get back to flying. I’ve heard talk of people wanting a “family section” in airplanes. Someplace in the back of the plane where parents can take kids, all kids babies included and the rest of the plane does not have to hear them scream. Is probably a good idea or else it’s going to come to no children under a certain age are allowed to fly because no one wants to hear a baby/toddler scream it’s head off.

Now also you and I seem to not be in agreement on what age a toddler is. Most or some see a toddler up to 4 years or a child not in Kindergarten. The child in the video below? He looks about 3 years old and he is walking in fact running but I know he’s not in Kindergarten. I tell you what I would not want to put up with that in First class. Hell I would not want to put up with that in coach, and these people should have got a refund.

You can see it everywhere; not just on a plane and most assuredly NOT just in first class!

Well, then you'll be glad to know that the US birth and female fertility rates have been falling for years. I think we're now below population replacement rate. There are fewer babies every year to bother you.

It wouldn't surprise me. Our culture is hostile to reproduction and babies.

You forgot that male fertility is even at worse levels now.

No, fewer American children, from AMERICAN families doesn't make me happier and WHY you would say that is beyond me!

What makes me EXTREMELY angry is the fact that many parents do NOT take any responsibility for their own kiddos/have abrogated their responsibilities, and that many supposed adults are self-centered, have less than NO manners, don't know how to behave nor dress in public, and have turned into lousy snowflakes!

Yes, it's all part of the same picture. I can't say I see worse behavior then prior years when it comes to small children. Mostly because I don't see that many these days. I'm actually surprised now when I see a young woman pushing a stroller.

I remember what it was like when I was little, I remember what it was like when my own progeny were little, today, I see some good parents and some really TERRIBLE ones when I am out and about.

There were always bad parents and rotten kids; however, now it seems to be MUCH worse and it's a problem that has been growing for many generations now. Ditto for terrible adult behavior.

This was the lefties' dream, since the '60s...get rid of manners, good behavior, responsibility, civility, traditions, and the family. Little by little, they have managed to tear down SO much...which started with language!

There are more important things to worry about than whether a child will,be screaming on a flight - most probably do it due to ear pain and my heart goes out to them and the parent who watches their child suffer w/o being able to fix it....I love God’s children even when they are making something “inconvenient”...not just when they are “being good” (code-word for “not acting like the child they are”)...

"It wasn't a joke..."

Yes it was. Just because you don't find it funny doesn't mean you get to declare that "it wasn't a joke" and go off on some rant about it because you're triggered.

....”pain from a pressurizing or depressurizing aircraft cabin”...

Don’t wash the kids hair or get water in their ears before flying....your own as well. Flight attendants will always advise this but few who inquire.

Wha?

A toddler?

You made a toddler behave?

That is not possible. Toddlers toddle. They don’t behave any way but the way they want to

My daughter was always well behaved. Airplanes , restaurants, movie theaters. Not to worry though she had plenty of play time with dirt and mud and grass

You take credit for a toddler being well behaved

No

She was well behaved because her parents modeled and taught her

Yes I take credit

No, they shouldn’t. Everyone says their kid is well behaved, just like every dog owner says their dog is well behaved. No kids in first class under 5.

Most of it is training but a lot of it is luck.

My daughter flew with her first as a toddler,no problems.

She then flew with her second as a toddler,no problems.

Then she flew with #3-——a nightmare.
