His best role was in Blow where he played a coked out druggie. He didn’t even have to act.

Reboot = new actors, new stories, new fans = new $$$$$$................ Maybe
They would be better off letting the franchise sit on the shelf for a decade or two.
Like the article says Depp made the part his own. Yes they could create a new character with a new actor but the series fans are likely to pick such a new character a part.
Unless the new character, actor and story are exceptional the story line is likely to fail because the fans want the old story not the new.
Time and absence are usually needed before new characters will be accepted.
Take the new Star Wars franchise for example.

I’ve read several places including Hollywood insider sites that with his multiple over-the-top properties, private jet, auto and art collecting, careless spending, he runs a cool $2.0 million/month in bills. That’ll put a dent in your paycheck.

I made the mistake of watching
Deadpool one evening on On Demand.
If Disney is planning on using the Deadpool writers, I hope they keep the utter gratuitous filth from that movie out of the reboot.

Johnny isn’t just broke, he is gone bonkers and may be irretrievable without an intervention to change lifestyle and actions. Disney is just making a wise decision here, yes he may pull out of his Darwin Award leap, but that is not the way to bet at this time.
Thank you Mr Depp for your prior performances, I have enjoyed them. PLEASE GET HELP and PLEASE PRAY FOR HELP!

I think I know who is the replacement. Met the actor a few weeks back and I’m at Disney almost every 2 weeks. Some lefty fag clown there pointed to him once and said he’s the replacement.

Stopped watching these movies some time ago. Only the first one was funny. Tried to watch the one with Keith Richards, love Keith, cut could not get thru it.

Edward Scissorhands was great!..................That was Vincent Price's last movie. His character died in the movie - maybe that was prophetic.

Depp is a good actor, period.
He was good in all the Pirates movies. I’d watch him in just about anything. I could give a fig about his politics.

If they're going to make movies based on Disneyland rides then why not make one based on the Main Street Trolley or The Teacups? Or they could even have the automotron robots in the Hall of Presidents turn into crime fighting super heroes.
There are so many more wells to draw from.
