Everybody understands that Drudge is simply an aggregator. He (or his minions) decide which news to aggregate, though. It is no different than a newspaper editor deciding which stories to print. When Drudge shifted heavily to aggregating liberal articles in liberal publications he lost many of us. I don't want to read the liberal articles and certainly don't want to give the liberal publications any hits. In addition, he seldom breaks news any more. Whatever he posts can easily be found elsewhere. For these reasons, Drudge no longer holds much appeal to me.

I’m pretty hard core conservative but I like to base my opinions on facts, not party propaganda.
It’s the reason I’m not a Democrat.
(btw: FR is a great site for gathering news of interest to conservatives but, as I mentioned before, some members believe only the party line approved news should be posted.)

I was first aware of Drudge via a Washington Post article pre blue dress. At the time, he was getting 17,000 hits a day. Those that hit his website tended to be show biz/network news community. He got his start by working in a CBS gift shop/convenience store. He picked up a piece of paper someone threw in the trash and it had a gossipy show biz thing involving someone, which he promptly put on his brand new website. He got noticed and people in the showbiz/news community started giving him scoops.
Anyway, I agree he doesn't break stories anymore, but he really is at the mercy of others to give him stuff and the libs certainly won't give him anything anymore. He could highlight more of the news concerning Spygate, which the MSM ignores. He does sometimes, but could do more.
I agree he really is not a must go to site anymore, however, his influence is still felt since different ones in the media will take his cue since he gets so many hits, in some ways he can drive which stories are covered. Rush always has Drudge up on one of his PCs. His headlines are ho hum usually, but he does link to some interesting things (not including his fascination with sexbots).

I don’t even bother anymore. His lifestyle trumps his politics and his business model. Sad.
They are not even buried yet. They are supposed to be buried tomorrow. Normally, Jews bury the next day, but presumably they were held by the coroner because of evidence gathering.
