I remember when I was 11 I saw Willie McCovey knock one out of Shea. Been a Mets fan through thick and thin, but I was impressed. RIP
He also caught for Satchel Paige too.

I remember watching games with ‘ol Diz as the broadcaster. An English teacher’s nightmare with gems like “he slud into 3rd!”
Rex Hudler is cut from that same mold.
Pee Wee Reese, Dizzy Dean and the Falstaff Game of the Week! My Dad used to watch that.
