Unless you live in the Omaha area and can drive to SIMONS-do not buy Omaha steaks.

Insanely overpriced for the quantity and quality. Even when they are on sale they aren’t a good deal. On a good sale they may be a good deal for a single guy who’s too lazy to go to the store or someone who is elderly and can’t get out much. Otherwise, get in the car and go to a butcher or even Kroger.

You can get fresh-cut, unfrozen, meats at Walmart/Win Dixie/Kroger s, etc....ad they don’t tell you that your $35 purchase has a $179 value....

I’ve been bombarded by their commercial on TV. Every time it comes on, I say “four burgers ain’t enough. Up it to eight and I’m in!”

And you know what? By the end of the commercial they come through and up the ante to eight burgers!

Watch for coupons and specials..you can save money there. Go on their website and snoop around and in a few days you’ll be emailed some sort of a special money off code.

I love that recipe----Chef John’s secret method for creating prime rib that’s
perfectly pink and extra moist in the center with a delicious crispy crust.
The trick is to bring the bone-in roast to room temp. Then, a big blast of
high heat to sear the surface, and very slow cooking with the oven off.

Very traditional served with roasted new potatoes, green beans almondine.....
and British-style Yorkshire Pudding (popovers).

BTW, the 500 degree method and eye of round? Do yourself a favor and try it. You have a much cheaper cut of meat (3.18/lb here} and it turns out beautiful. Make sure to have yorkshire pudding and roasted Brussels sprouts with it. (Both take about 25 min @ 425)

Add some brown gravy and you will have a new standard Sunday dinner.

An overpriced product from a corporation that has supported a number of lefty causes. I won’t buy anything from them.

I’ve bought from them.

It was all good, the Apple tartlets are great.

My complaint is mostly portion size. Anything that is great deal is simply a little too small. To get the 8oz strip or something, the price goes way up.

Everything was tasty and well trimmed for steaks. The sausages, pork chops and chicken are fine, but I can generally get about the same at our local Acme.

Omaha Steaks was a big supporter of that “GOPe” Senator who sold out to Obama and voted for Obamacare.

I prefer my beef fresh and local. And I prefer my money not go to globalists.
