Beautiful!

That one (Turnberry) is on our ‘list’, of Trump properties to stay.

We LOVE the DC hotel. It is wondrous.

It’s amazing to see the number of folks streaming through the lobby, just to take a look at the magnificent renovation of the Old Post Office.

I can certainly see why it has been named one of the top four luxury hotels, in the US.

Thanks for bringing the EXCELLENT Kevin McCullough article over to this thread, earlier, from the other thread.

It is a MUST read, folks!!

Sending to my email/other lists. I think it pairs well with the new Joe M video.

The entire article, follows...

On Friday afternoon, within minutes of President Trump ending the shutdown, the left declared victory.

Dancing up and down on his perceived “grave” the fund raising requests were e-blasted to supporters promising that the day’s events insured already assumed doom for a President they hate.

Don’t tell them... but the opposite is now on its way.

To see leftwing activists so eagerly cheer the defeat (even temporarily) of some of the most broad-based (and in many instances—Democrat initiated) objectives as it pertains to common sense border security was disheartening.

Why Congressional and Senate Democrats would refuse the opportunity to take partial credit of creating an orderly border process is mystifying. Especially so when 78%-90% of Americans seek tougher border measures. Most of whom also believe that a border barrier is a key component to the multi-lateral security strategy.

Directing people to the end of the fence, to the “point of entry” is rational—not immoral—as Speaker Pelosi asserts.

She asserts as much because of the sinister forces stirring the Democrat base at present.

The hard left has such hooks into the party’s base that they have literally forced leadership to completely abandon policy that they supported under President Obama.

Remember in 2013 Senator Schumer got the entire Democrat caucus to vote in lock step approval for a $40 billion border security package that included upwards of $8 billion in building additional miles of barriers.

So what’s changed?

Donald Trump became President.

I don’t say that in some sort of predictable defense-of-partisan-position reaction.

In fact it has very little to do with Donald Trump being a Republican.

It’s about something much more specific — Donald J. Trump — to be hyper specific.

The progressive wing of the Democrat party believed Barack Obama would remake the landscape of American politics. Though he tried, she remains a center-right nation.

Obama tried to do his part. As Charlie Kirk pointed out this weekend: “He picked his successor, weaponized the FBI, DOJ, & IRS against his opponents. Controlled 90% of the media. Had double the ad budget. Colluded with foreign powers against the challenger. Yet they lost to a billionaire they claimed was beneath them.”

But that was only the beginning.

Once he was sworn in he deregulated largely progressive and politically motivated regulations on small businesses. He rewrote the tax code. We saw manufacturing and production come pouring back into the country. Lowest unemployment and highest labor participation in history.

These reforms armed and continue to empower more individuals to have more personal economic options than they had known in the stagnant “recovery” the previous administration oversaw.

When a party has a tight leash on the purse strings they are able to bully the masses into subjection on issues of conscience. Trump not only broke that chokehold he also simultaneously completely shifted the direction of the federal judiciary for a generation or more. Working quite closely with Majority Leader McConnell, Trump has nominated and has seen confirmed nearly as many judges in federal, appellate, and Supreme Court(s) in two years as the previous administration did in eight.

The left understands this, they were unprepared and are now fighting hard and dirty. Their precious vision of peacenik socialism, coupled with an ample servings of sexual anarchy, religious bigotry, and self superiority is once again slipping through their fingers.

They literally fight for everything that center-right America is not. (Cue the video from the New York State Senate this week with a standing ovation for late-term and partial-birth abortion now codified into law as much like the Nazi’s of the 1930’s thirsting for the blood of the “impure.”)

They fight in favor of everything America does not want. (Sexual identity issues, seventy-percent tax rates, and leniency on Americans who attempt to join ISIS.)

They blame Trump for their unsuccessful fights and for this reason they want him gone.

They thought Obama was the key.

They thought Mueller was the key.

They think that Pelosi & the shutdown is the key.

The problem for them is Donald Trump is still President.

He knows all of this, saw it long before it got to this point, and has made the chess move of being “presidential” in reopening the government while allowing them yet “one more chance” to “do the right thing.”

Partly to be able to honestly say the American people, “I gave them every chance to solve the border problem.”

Partly to be able to tell voters in 2020, “Do you want their ‘vision’ of America, or do you want America?”

They live in an obsessed existence—pacing the floors at night—dealing with how he’s taking away the vision of what they want America to become.

He slept last night like a baby.

He’s five moves ahead, even while they dance on his “grave.”

Posting link to Seth Rich thread, here...

Flynn Judge Sullivan Signed Sealed Order of Discovery in Seth Rich Lawsuit

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3723345/posts

.... whatever we find in our discovery as a defense (bank records, emails, eBay records, PayPal records, phone records, autopsy), and things we are seeking in our investigations can never be talked about publicly. Isn’t that interesting America?

Now who would have done that you might ask?

None other than the same federal Judge that called General Michael Flynn a traitor, and also said that illegals should be allowed to come back, going against the ruling of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. That’s right America, the federal Judge who signed the order is Emmett Sullivan.....

I follow Charlie Kirk...after all its my maiden name.

I would like to say thank you to the Freeper who sent me a link to a battery holder. This isn't exactly like yours but close. I only chose this one because of the D battery area. I actually have 6 more D batteries. They go in a lantern we use when the electric goes off.

Being the horrible unorganized person I am...it puts ALL my batteries in one place instead of ALL over the house..in drawers and such. It positions the batteries so they aren't touching to explode. I am shocked to see I have so many once they're in one place. AND still finding batteries. Now I'll place them where we put our lantern/flashlights ..and etc. Its nice having a tester with it too. I'm finally getting rid of the old batteries. I believe the one suggested hung on a wall if I'm not mistaken.

Nice holder for batteries.

Just back from walking dog at park, 64 degrees, wore sandals, a lot of people in shorts and t-shirts.
A lot of people climbing small mountain, sunshine galore.

I have 7 hummingbirds on my feeder and 5 buds on my Shasta Daisy plant.

Just saying, lol.

Have a MAGA Night.

Stu Cvrk

Thread: On Donald J Trump, POTUS

1. A friend of mine sent me this analysis of @POTUS from an anonymous source. Whoever wrote this is spot on; it reflects my thinking, too! It really got me fired up. I am going to gyp it in its entirety:

2. “Give me an asshole who can play …” This is a famous quote from iconic drummer, Buddy Rich. Buddy only wanted the best on stage with him. He didn’t care about their “moral character” or if they were pleasant to be around.

3. He didn’t even care if he, himself, liked them. He hired only guys who could burn the room down with him …not boy scouts who were mediocre. Hence, the famous quote.

4. President Donald Trump appears to be in trouble. A series of confessions and convictions, of and by people around him, are casting a strange, dark light on his presidency at the moment. There is a perception (at least) that shady stuff has gone on around this guy.

5. And when shady stuff constantly goes on around someone in charge, you have to conclude that the guy in charge is okay with shady stuff.

6. Has he hung around tax evaders and money launderers? Clearly. Did he pay off porn stars and Playboy Playmates to keep their dalliances quiet? I think we can safely conclude that he did. Is he a petulant child in the Twitter-verse? One hundred percent.

7. Does he say things in public my mother would slap me for saying? Literally, everyday. Did he conspire with a foreign power to win an election? Maybe. Will any of this make a difference to his supporters? That’s a complicated answer. Let me explain

8. I have a theory that all presidential elections are reactions to the sitting president at the time.

9. I’m old enough to remember Jimmy Carter getting elected (in large part) because he was a wholesome, moral breath of fresh air in an atmosphere of corruption and scandal created during the Nixon years.

10. I was only a kid, but I distinctly remember entire churches being excited to go out and vote for an openly Christian man for president.

11. Then, after four years of that disaster, I remember those same people breaking speed limit laws to get to the polls to vote for Reagan as fast as they could.

12. The conditions that created a “president Trump” kinda started with Bill Clinton, who led to George W Bush …who led to Barack Obama.

13. By the time we got to him, Mr. Obama was going to be the antidote to incompetence and corruption and war mongering and, yes …even racism. But a very strange thing happened during Mr. Obama’s presidency. Racism didn’t end. Corruption didn’t end. Wars didn’t end.

14. And incompetence might’ve actually gotten worse. My full day of talking to the customer service agent at the newly created healthcare exchange, did NOT leave me confident.

15. And what was discovered during Mr. Obama’s 8 years, was that in a free market nation, over-taxing, over-regulating and a leader who constantly berates the business community and supports policies that place more emphasis on celebrating the “diversity” of people groups ….

15.A than on law and order for every individual, and foreign policies that take everything but the nation you’ve been elected to lead into account, simply doesn’t work.

16. What was also exposed in those 8 years was how feckless and weak Republicans had actually become in their opposition to such things.

17. And with candidates literally talking openly about socialism & nationalizing private institutions, a guy like Trump comes along & promises to re-set the foundation of the nation the way Americans understand it …and the way they want it. Is he really that much of a surprise?

18. I talk occasionally about the fourth revolution. And Donald Trump is the leader of it. If you’re appalled at the lewd behavior of your president, you’re behind. That ship sailed when one was getting blow jobs by an intern half his age, in the Oval Office. AND. NOBODY. CARED.

19. If you wish your president was decent and measured and refused to return fire at his critics, you’re behind.

20. We already had that guy and he was called a war criminal, who should be tried at the Hague (Rosie O’Donnell’s public announcement) and “retarded” (Chris Rock’s word – DEFINITELY not mine), someone who should force his daughters to go to war (Matt Damon’s suggestion).... A a monster who deliberately broke the levies in New Orleans to drown black people (Spike Lee’s claim) and on and on and on. AND. NOBODY. CARED.

21. If you wish your president was upstanding and righteous and said all the right things, you’re behind. Mitt Romney already ran. AND. NOBODY. CARED.

22. If you wish your president was a humble and honorable true public servant, without moral blemishes, you’re behind. Bob Dole (a man who gave his right hand to his country) and John McCain (a man who gave both arms to his country) already ran. AND. NOBODY. CARED.

23. Donald Trump was the last branch to grab before the nation hit the ground. But he has changed the game in some ways. Nobody believes a nice guy can get it done, anymore. We’ve had nice guys …and nothing changed.

24. Cutting taxes and repatriating a trillion dollars was the right thing to do. And it’s working. And only a guy who doesn’t give crap about what people think of him could’ve gotten it done.

25. Moving the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem was the right thing to do. It sends a message to the rest of the middle east and, in turn, creates a stability hard to quantify.

26. Presidents on BOTH sides of the aisle have promised to do it. It should’ve been done decades ago. But only a guy who doesn’t give a crap about what people think of him could’ve gotten it done.

27. Taking Kim Jong Un on …head on …is looking like it was the right thing to do. But only a guy who doesn’t give a crap about what people think of him would’ve even attempted it.

28. While Mr. Trump’s lawyers and campaign people were perp-walking in and out of ivory towers, a teen-aged girl in Iowa – as middle-America a place as you can find – was being murdered by someone in the country illegally.

29. That creates real world fear for Americans everywhere. We have enough fear of our own citizenry, breaking our own laws. And reasonable Americans don’t think it’s UNreasonable to ask people wanting to come to our country …to sign the hell in.

30. They don’t see how that makes them racists. It simply doesn’t compute. And the only elected leader giving them any cover is the flawed president.

31. So, did Donald Trump collude and conspire with Russians to win an election? What the media and his opponents (and even a lot of Republicans) STILL don’t or can’t or won’t understand is that it doesn’t matter. He didn’t have to collude with anybody.

32. He was going to win either way. He had millions of Americans at “build a wall” and “cut your taxes” and especially at, “I don’t give a crap what people think.”

33. Donald Trump may get impeached or arrested or disgraced or unseated or whatever. [I don’t think so!] But what people had better realize is that if he’s gone, a large percentage of the population will be looking for something or someone JUST like him …to replace him.

34. There’s too much at stake; too many socialists on the horizon, too many empty suits looking for lifetime political gigs, too many “nice guys” with great smiles and weak spines, to take any more chances.

35. We just want an asshole who can play. And with the economy roaring and North Korea neutralized and ISIS basically contained and defeated, it appears that despite all the weirdness that surrounds him, he can, indeed, play.

36. And now …. the lowest unemployment in our adult lives; the new deal with Mexico re. trade - and the one to soon follow with Canada - and other countries; the highest stock market ever; etc., etc., etc. Impeach him for lack of morality? GO AHEAD AND TRY!

37. Couldn’t have said it better myself! The Left (esp. Hollywood and the media) have desensitized us to personal behavior that would have sunk any US president before JFK.

38. And they think Trump’s “decorum” and personal behavior are somehow primary reasons to get rid of him? They are transparently hypocritical and hoisted on their own petard, too. And I love it! ///The end.

****************************** P.S. Does anyone know the name of the author?

Addendum: This would appear to be the originator: ******************** (H/T for the source: @drcrinum1 )

NIKK...Very good thread...I don't agree with all of the analysis because I think our President isn't guilty of Russian C/several other ideas...Love of Country/Family is the President's motive.

After all that I have done for the Military, our great Veterans, Judges (99), Justices (2), Tax & Regulation Cuts, the Economy, Energy, Trade & MUCH MORE, does anybody really think I won’t build the WALL? Done more in first two years than any President! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Never thought I’d say this but I think @johnrobertsFox and @GillianHTurner @FoxNews have even less understanding of the Wall negotiations than the folks at FAKE NEWS CNN & NBC! Look to final results! Don’t know how my poll numbers are so good, especially up 19% with Hispanics?
