Wouldn’t your backside be wet from the bidet? What would you use to dry off?? Toilet paper?? Paper towels?? Bath towel?? Hair dryer?? Inquiring minds — I never used one.

Don’t know about Canada but there are probably enough trees in Maine alone to supply the world’s population with a hundred rolls of toilet paper a day for a thousand years.

Never actually saw one myself, only pictures and heard some Europeans one time pushing them. Don’t know any details.....maybe I don’t want to know any details!

Part of this massively disastrous arboreal problem can undoubtedly be blamed on those Fetid Frisco Fresh-air Fecalizers (Fecalists?), who seem to enjoy the brush-like, purifying effect of the pleasantly-scented needles on those Canadian Christmas tree branches, which serve to provide them with that extra little bit of luxurious cleansing, and impart that thoroughly refreshed feeling, every time those Canadian tree branches are used for such purposes by the filthy, public, SF street-squatters.

I guess they convinced me to go back to corn cobs or Sears Roebuck catalogues.

They convinced me - would be better to grab a socialist to wipe my backside- just rinse them off and use again

Perhaps we will have to learn to use the three sea-shells.

As per The Vintage News: Splinter-free toilet paper didn’t exist until the 1930’s. Northern Issue, in 1935, began to advertise toilet paper that was ‘splinter free’. Up until this point, it was common to have splinters in toilet roll, due to the production techniques used. St. Andrew’s Paper Mill, in the UK, launched 2-ply paper in 1942.
