I don’t get the Sears Roebuck catalog anymore. Guess I’ll have to start using Amazon web pages. They can deliver overnight.

Trees are a renewable resource.

And pulp mills used to take in all the waste material from lumber trees, trash trees, weed trees, etc., and produce paper of all sorts.

We certainly have no shortage of cottonwoods, alder, sweet gum, aspen, and other water-sucking waste trees.

That sounds like a foul idea.

Couldn’t the Canadians forbid timber harvesting, or cut/tax exports to the USA?

surprising ending for a Guardian article:

” next time you’re greeted at the departure gate by toilet paper with a texture similar to a handful of gravel, you can take solace in the fact you’re saving the forests.”

From anyone else I’d be sure that was snarky.

In many countries the TP is like wax paper. It’s about as useless as you think it would be.

Well, do we take into account how many paper mills have closed in the northeast?

They are still cutting lumber 24/7 up here in the NEK ... as long as the ground stays frozen they will cut & haul day and night.

And I have it on good authority that every tree is well hugged before it is cut down

Kinda like the ol’ Sears/Roebuck, Wards catalogs that were regulated
to the outhouse after the new ones came out.

Is this a push for bidets? Never caught on in the USA, but I bet they’d scream drought/water crisis if they did get popular.

I guess they must miss the feel of a corncob or pinecone against their cheeks.

Sorry bub.

NOT going to use crepe paper. NOT going to use something I can poke a hole in whilst it’s deployed to the most critical location.

Canada has enough wood forests to last North America for 10,000 years without replanting. The stuff is everywhere.

The solution is to use pages from copies of the koran and das kapital, and when we run out of those, use the faces of these commies from the guardian.

The low-IQ commies at The Guardian get more stupid everyday. Ninety percent of the propagandists at The Guardian are little, wimpy weenies who couldn’t win a fight against a cub scout.

It is almost unbelievable that they would think that people would buy into this complete nonsense. It illustrates how stupid the left believes their followers to be.

Was it Lenina Huxley who suggested the “three shells”?
