When you are “the kid” that everyone ignores but who is connected and “supposed to be here” lots of strange stuff happens or you become a part of it.
I was the son of a business owner in Kansas City. I drove my dad and his business acquaintances around during union strikes, negotiations, dinners, bars and meetings in the two strike/lockouts in late 60s and early 70s. I was ignored and I heard things sober that the older guys (while three sheets to the wind) didn’t realize they were saying. Likewise, I met politicos that were associated with the KC mob — that same mob that controlled the Teamsters Central States Pension Fund and Roy Williams.
There is a lot of stuff that the glamorous and art crowd do in rubbing shoulders with the criminal element the surprised me. I have sat in bars that were blown up a week later and eaten in joints where people got gunned down worse than in the Godfather. My wife kids me about never sitting with my back to the door, but I can’t do it and be comfortable.
The guy who played luca Brasi was the real deal.

I once had a general manager who bragged to a captive employee audience about once being Sam Giancana’s dinner guest on his yacht.
He stared at me in particular while extolling how much more powerful and charismatic the mobster was than a common nobody.
I was a Christian, a conservative, and a sober, reliable employee. The coke-snorting GM despised and disparaged me.
That incident confirmed my lifelong boycott of The Godfather.
I prefer to watch heroes celebrated, not villains glorified.
Oh get over yourself. I don’t know if the Godfather glorifies the family. It doesn’t always show them in the best light, either. It’s a story.

They certainly would have tested her blood for drugs in 1962.
I am unaware of any medico-legal autopsy that routinely looks in the rectum, so it's a pretty interesting hypothesis.

Blah blah blah. Donald Spoto went back to the original forensic reports and interviewed surviving members of the investigation and others connected with Marilyn Monroe, and IMHO he nailed the actual cause of death, and the reasons for a glaring anomaly at the crime scene.
When I was in my 20s, there was a checkstand tabloid story blaring that "Marilyn Monroe was Murdered!!!" My dad pointed to it, smiled, and said, "yeah, she was stabbed to death".

Why do some people act like catching a buzz and having sex is more fun and exciting when celebrities are involved? Is it also more exciting to relieve yourself on a celebrity’s toilet?
The fact that this guy was neglected by his parents is tragic. The fact that he had sex with Liza Minnelli is boring.
Not without leaving some marks (unless she was already slipped a “mickey”.
