US has labs outside of US, too. Georgia, UK, and Africa.

Why?
Why create something that can kill like that?
Unless there were plans for it being used.

The last great flu pandemic (1918-1920) hit young adults harder than any other group. It basically ended World War I. Many years ago I worked with a person who told me how he had to make coffins for the victims in the area he lived, because they were overwhelmed with the flu deaths. - Tom

Why create something that can kill like that?Win the war on poverty by killing all the poor people who contribute nothing except violence and dependancy.
A disease that spares healthy people who can be treated and survive while wiping out untold billions of unhealthy, malnourished Third Worlders would alter the demographics of the world in ways we cannot even begin to imagine.
Don't think that there aren't people looking into this.

Why create something that can kill like that? To use it of course.
But sometimes things do not go as planned. The Stephen King novel "The Stand" has a line that seems appropriate. Chalked on the wall of a compromised bioweapons research facility, it said:
"Now you know it works. Any questions?"
