I’m no aviation expert but I have common sense and the ability to think so I’ll stand by my case F-35 is a weak sister, but the Lockheed internet air force is impressive IMO. Does the USMC need a day one penetrator, perhaps but more than likely they needed a bomb truck and this is one expensive bomb truck though far better than the AV-8B.
Last thing putting the F in front of it was almost a guarantee of fail.
Really, your common sense and ability to think makes you parrot the same media that has trashed every weapon system since the F-4, told us that the E-3 AWACS was a garbage aircraft that would be the first to die in a conflict (it’s a force-multiplier that was the most successful acquisition program ever), and had Hillary picked to win a landslide against Trump? I’d back up and do a vector-check on that common-sense. The fact is, the never-F-35 crowd has had infinitely more press than any “Lockheed internet air force”, whatever the hell that is. Even here at FR, it takes all kinds I guess. I swear, all of the shrill anti-F-35 stuff from people that clearly don’t know an empennage from a kangaroo’s ass must be a brilliant CIA disinformation campaign. No problem, I want the enemy to go up thinking it’s a pushover and their first inkling that they were even in the fight is when their jet explodes.
