Yes it’s risky and not even correct.

God uses 360 day years anyways, not 365.

"However, at the same time I think we need to keep the prophecies of the 70 weeks in context. The seventieth week has yet to come to pass. The timeclock paused at the Crucifixion."

What's your take on Daniel's 70 weeks? Are you going with 490 years? (7 weeks = 7 X 7 days = 490 days, and a "day" is a "year")

"The Ottoman empire was the sixth beast right?"

Maybe. When I look at the seven-headed best in Revelation 17 that Jesus tells John represents 7 lands (or nations) with multiple kings, I sometimes see the nations that came against Israel in 1948 when it declared itself a new nation.

Rev. 17:4's sexually immoral woman named Babylon may be a reference to a huge nation (Babylon) who believed in a religion not of God (often analogized in the Old Testament as a woman cheating on her husband). The could be the Ottoman Empire specifically or Islam in general. And "the mother of prostitutes" may be a reference to many Muslim nations being created after WW1 when the Allies created nations from within the old Ottoman Empire. The verse 6's "drunk with the blood of the saints" --- no nation or religion comes close to violently persecuting Christians like Islam has.

So in my view of the seven heads, they're not chronological but almost simultaneous -- Muslim nations/sects that rose up against a reborn Israel in 1948. And my take on the timeframe of verse 10 isn't that the 5 kings (horns) who "were" aren't in John's past, but in the past of a point of view for when a point of the story is. I take verse 9 as "Hey. From here I'm jumping ahead in time to a point where 5 of these nations will be gone and...". So, if I'm right, instead of trying to figure out which nations in the middle east quit existing before the revelation was given to John, we should instead expect 5 nations to cease to exist right before they turn on the "woman" that spawned off the nations that revolted against her (maybe the Arab Revolt right after WW1).

Not sure of the point here. But by my quoting a previous comment with my own, I may have confused the point I was making.

When I quoted 2’nd Peter 3:8 it was to show that a day on Earth is as a thousand years in Heaven. (and this brings to mind another point which I will make separately)

2 Peter 3:8 King James Version (KJV)

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

This example was separate from Daniels 70 weeks Prophecy.
__________________________ ____________________________
And the Seventieth week has yet to be fulfilled.

Being a week as we refer to it is 7 days. But in this Prophetical text it is meant to be 7 years=one week.

By extension, 70 week Prophecy = 70x7=490yrs

483 of those years have already been fulfilled and the remaining (week of years) has yet to be fulfilled.

Hence:the “seventieth week” which will begin at the signing of the 7 year covenant between Israel and the antichrist. Which in my estimation is soon on the horizon.

Another example of the Seventieth week is the reference to Jacobs Troubles.

With Jacob of course being representative of Israel, and the time of troubles Israel is soon to experience. Matthew 24:21-22

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

In the middle of that 7yr covenant, 3 1/2 years into it, the antichrist will betray Israel and reveal his true colors.

Toward the end of the seven years will commence the Battle of Armageddon and will culminate with the return of Jesus Christ and His Church.

Obviously, not all will agree to any one interpretation, but this is my belief.

Separate from my previous post...........

And referring to the 7day = 7thousand years theory is an interesting film I recently viewed. Just in case anyone is interested:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en5GFK2xypY
In this hard hitting inspiring prophecy drama, a college student (David White) discovers the shocking truth that the 6 days of creation could be a picture of how the course of life on earth would run leading up to the return of Christ. This film features a compelling gospel presentation and the answers to eternal life.

Well I went way down the rabbit hole in my post about prophetic years. My main point was that if we’re going to use “days” and “years” in a prophecy (you mention the 490 years) that we need to use 360 days for one year, not the standard 365 of today.

When Christ marched into Jerusalem on a donkey - it was to the exact day fulfilling Zechariah 9:9.

March 14, 445BC - April 6 32AD is 173,880 days and divide that by 360 you get = 483.

Interesting possibility.

I think however, Rev 17:10 would be speaking of the kings of the empires. In John’s day, there were “five fallen empires”:

Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece.

“And one is”

During John’s time, the sixth empire, in power at the time was the Roman Empire. Spoken of in present tense.

“And the other is not yet come” (nor yet to this day, and has yet to come to power)

Which I believe refers to the ten nation confederation symbolized by the ten horns, which during John’s time had yet to come. Some have interpreted the ten horns to be representative of the (club of Rome) If this were to be the correct interpretation, then it would encompass the entirety of all nations, (I think)

“And when he comes he must continue a short space.”

These will be the ten horns, also referred to as the seventh head. These ten nations will soon come against Israel.

Many interpretations as to the ten horns are made.

We’ve all heard many variations of the ten horns and the seven heads interpreted different ways, but many consider a “revived Roman Empire” to come to power.

From this would involve a powerful Babylon coming to power, which eventually is destroyed. Rev 18

As you stated, there are many correlations to Babylon.

The great whore is described in Rev 17 and she has enticed many kings of the Earth to have committed spiritual fornication.

John goes on to describe her sitting upon a scarlet colored beast having seven heads and ten horns.

The “seven heads representative of seven empires. And the “ten horns” representing ten nations which will soon arise out of the old Roman Empire territory, and will persecute Israel.

Another symbolic description of the great whore is described in Proverbs 7 (the strange woman which has enticed many to commit spiritual fornication) In this example, the seventh head is a revived Roman Empire.

In your example given, the Ottoman Empire would be the seventh empire, since we know from Scripture, that the Roman Empire would have been the sixth.

The ottoman empire having ended in the early 20’th century
about 1919-1924.

And as you seem to have suggested, then from the seventh (being the Ottoman empire) would arise the ten heads, being islamic nations.

The example you’ve described would also seem to fit since islam has been at war with Israel ever since Ishmael sought to kill Isaac.

Yes I agree with that. I’ve heard that description before and it makes sense. As you’ve stated, right to the day. And fulfilling 69 weeks (the same as 483 years) in the prophetic 70 week prophecy.

My initial statement was to say that since the fulfillment of the 483 years, God’s Prophetic time clock was paused, and will soon begin again with the commencement of the seventieth week, also known as the time of Jacobs woes. Which will begin at the time of the false peace covenant signed with Israel.

Yes my FRiend on those points I agree on.
It’s paused until the “Covenant with Many” starts it up again.

Then, believing Jews will see their “messiah” turn into a demon mid-way through it.

1. Hosea 5:15
2. Zechariah 12:10
3. Hosea 3:5

Finally!!! After all those centuries.

God Bless!

Amen! And one of my favorites:

Zechariah 13:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
