When were you two in Itly, ministering? In 2000, we were there for 10 wonderful days. Visited towns and villages in the Campania region that we would never have seen on a "normal tour".
And, yes, her videos are great!

“Same trip...eating home-cooked meals with local church families...”
Now I’m re-thinking a tour I turned down. My cousin has been a Baptist minister in Italy since 1973, and he’s doing a tour this fall. We decided against it, but now... Italian food is my favorite, and he said his parishoners are great cooks.

my wife has an Italian grandmother who can cook, and every meal Im thankful. As my 97 lb. (!) grandmother would say..."Mangia!, Mangia!..."

Look at the volume of sauce she preserves: That is an great setup in the basement(?).
Plus have never seen a motorized "Victorio-type" strainer before. We have a manual version.

We used to have a manual type when I was growing up.

I was only in Italy for a few days, twice, back in the ‘80s.
My fondest memory was taking the train from Rome to Brindisi. We sat near enough to an Italian family that had packed their lunch and insisted we join them for the wine and cured meats and...
Such warmth and delicious food.
