I didnt think there were any mammals NATIVE to Australia.

Probably arrived by ship or shipwreck as the common brown rat. - Tom

I once got poison ivy from the then-wife who got it from her meticulously maintained garden one year. She said either the wind or a bird brought. She found the plant, and I did the chemical warfare spraying.

So, maybe a bird dropped a load of the wrong bacteria or perhaps two birds dropped a diseased coconut or like that was toxic to rat or even the rat's food source.

Does Australia get "red tide"? Contaminated "food" washed up combined with ebb in the usual source drove the rats to eat the spoiled remains?

So these “scientists” are saying “climate change” only started, like, 10 years ago?
And this rat is the 1st to go extinct? All the other animals that went extinct before didn’t count?
And the whole planet will go extinct over the next 12 years? Like, slowly, then speeding up?
Or would that be all at once, 12 years from now, like The Rapture?
Those scientists are a little iffy, if’n ya ask me.

“Marsupials are mammals.”

Well I didn’t vote for them.

Fake scientists

Yep, this guy follows the scientific method better than the 'scientists' in the article...

Darwin told me that those rats weren’t fit enough to survive. End of story.

i read 70 comments and no one said anything about this:

However, the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine and its Petition Project stands by Frederick Seitz, an American physicist, and his stance that “there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate.”

The petition also takes the stance that, in fact, there is “substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.”

About 31,000 American scientists have signed the petition.

////

the above was right there after the graph .... what’s so interesting is that it appeared at all. after dishing out the usual BS about 97%, anthropromorphic horse sh*t....and the graphs using doctored data....this bit of opposition information was included....why?

and then, again....another paragraph with links to the major Warmist Alarmist sites....

why did we get that bit of truth sandwiched in between the lies?....in an article claiming we’ve killed a species???

do they know? its all coming apart....time to cover your arse?

the problem with species extintion is lately evolution has stopped and there are no new species popping up. like all the pre- species that lead to the t-rex. theres a hard evendence of a species line leading up to the final result ..a t-rex.. and the hard evidence of fish developing legs and lungs. tons of evidence it happend. oh wait. there is no evendence that dinosaurs evolved, or that fish turned into land creatures. or that primordial mud burst forth life. Sh*t I lost my train of thought.... Earth got rid of a rat. if it will make the aussies feel better we can send them some killer bees to give them something else to kill them..

I remember back in the 90’s that the Perigrene Falcons were endangered in southern New Mexico. Then someone discovered that there was thousands of them roosting in abandoned warehouses in El Paso.

That looks like a Kangaroo rat found all over the southwestern US. Food for snakes and predatory birds.

Why didn’t they rescue the Rats and relocate them before they died out?Why didn’t they rescue the Rats and relocate them before they died out?

Yeah! They've got time to tie their kangaroos down, but don't have time to rescue their rats.

What happened was that the rats started to identify themselves as gay and transgendered and stopped reproducing. End of species!
