Darn. But, apparently they can give it up. Jamie was going to that one time.
I think it’s all about Duty and not about Love. Brienne’s updates to Ser Jaime’s history is an interesting of mix of duty and love blending quite beautifully.
The Targaryen history, as told in the books, prior to Robert’s Rebellion, seems to hint that Kings who make decisions for the sake of love usually make bad decisions. The dutiful choice in front of them is rejected, and that is where many of the previous kings ended up going astray.
Not a romantic message, but probably accurate.
Yep. We all know how love can make people crazy and stupid.
I thought it was very beautiful the way Brienne wrote Jamie’s history pages out so honorable.
King Joffrey publicly dismissed Ser Barriston Selmy as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. This was an affront, because appointment to the Kingsguard is a life appointment. Ser Barriston was then free to go to Essos and serve Dany.
King Tommen later dismissed Ser Jaime as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard for “attacking the Faith and the Crown.”
King’s privilege? Guessing all positions serve at the pleasure of the king.
I thought that was a possibility in the last couple of threads. Not my choice for how it would end, but its the sort of ending that ties everything up while still managing to upset everyone.
Only two things panned in my original prediction: Sansa rules the North in Winterfell and Tyrion remains as the Right Hand...to whomever, but I was rooting for Daeny and Jon.
I really thought the Dathraki and Unsullied would execute Tyrion and Jonand then go home or try to. Guess they traded them for safe passage out of Westeros. But I dont know where Naathas is.
Can you imagine all the mothers who are upset now because they’ve named their daughters Khalessi.
Cut the cord AND the antennae. There is life outside of the bigscreen.
But if you must watch something, get a DVD player and choose your own movies and shows to watch.
My wife said that weeks ago. I laughed because that would be stupid and an insult to the characters development in the years past. I feel stupid now.
Drogon melted the iron throne before he flew off with Dany’s body.
I thought they handled the verification of Jaimie and Cercesi’s deaths nicely with Tyrion removing pieces of rubble in the cellars of the castle and seeing the two dead bodies lying side by side.
The island of Naath was where Missandei was originally from.
Yes. I didn’t think they would even bother, but they did bother and they did it pretty nicely. Miraculously easy and neatly, but it’s TV and I can’t really fault them for a quick and simple reveal. I give them credit for making the effort.
The doggie and the dragon survived. Nothing else matters.
Grey worm didnt know how to negotiate and came across as quite dumb.
Arya becomes Ferdinanda Magellan. A spin off series no doubt.
Bronn did not end up on the throne. He is part of the new little counsel. Bran ended up on the throne.
How did they know Jon killed her?
I assume that Jon admitted to doing it. He isn’t one to lie.
