But I thought the County Social Services was gonna pay for it!!?
A friend paid the bill. What is the crime?
Too much detail missing.
If a stranger was a witness to the dash and paid the bill, is it a crime?
How was the friend not part of the dining group?
The “restaurants” out here in our area are SO BAD that many people leave without eating or paying. Service and food are HORRIBLE out here. Just horrible. Luckily we are great cooks!
Dey jess be takin’ what dey deserves! Whitey done be raciss! Dis be day way of gettin’ back at Whitey!
This is the result of liberals telling them that they are victims of evil oppressors and that they are entitled to take whatever they can get without working for it.
Sorry, I read poorly. I see a friend stepped forward after this was made news. See FIRST line. ( wish we could delete our own comments) apology to “posting police”.
I knew before I clicked but I couldn't stop myself...and I was correct!
You know you are living in the wrong neighborhood when there are armed guards at the entrances and patrolling the aisles of your local grocery store. Left that place after one week.
Looking at the picture screams Res Ipsa loquitur!
Sneaky. But is that legal?
I agree... something sounds fishy here. You can't just "Dash" out with a bunch of small children. They must have been waiting on that bill for a LONG time.
I'm not going to sit around forever waiting on a bill.
Or, they might have ben deliberate about it from the beginning. Hard to say, with the minimal information provided.
I was on a cruise once and asked a drunken crew member why was everything bolted down in my cabin his reply was that (using different words here) that a certain race was constantly stealing everything that was not bolted down.
I’m not going to sit around forever waiting on a bill.
I see. If the server does not bring your check in a timely manner, you are
entitled to walk out. How about asking for the check when you ready to leave
if the server has not given it to you? This walk out was pre planned.
Knew right away when I saw it was on Dequindre Street.
No doubt. That's why the bill was over $500.
Yes, chew and screw is a crime. In Massachusetts the specific charge is “theft of services”. Generally a misdemeanor. The merchant can still sue, and I hope recover court costs and more.
Michigan is a beautiful state why put your business in Detroit of all places?
And you are “racist” if you point out certain ethnic groups do not tip.
