Really, really sad, and I bet it won’t make the national news. Doesn’t fit the “criteria”
Some of the flippant comments here are disgusting. These two brave women put their lives on the line for their community and families and paid the ultimate price.
I remember seeing a report on them.
I figured it would end like this.
“....If you want to work as a peace keeper in Democratic party-controlled Chicago you better have full body armor, a fully automatic machine gun, lots of bullets and a trained platoon....”
And that is what all the bleeding-heart, hand-wringers do NOT want to admit, but that’s exactly what it’s gonna take. They’re gonna have to outright kill em all. The thugs make a mockery out of anything less.
Tragically true.
These ladies were actually trying to confront the problem because the political structure and culture in Chicago and Illinois do not have the tools to address the issue. Community support of the police, judges and juries that convict after a quick trial, laws that allow speedy execution of murderers. The cultural issues...well...what is there to say? Good black families have an uphill fight.
E.G. A Great musican family values of an alley cat.
Sad.
Sad. They tried to make a difference for their children.

Sad.
but they do have masks ???
I agree. But what is it, exactly, they were really going to accomplish? They “put their lives on the line”; what does that mean? Be specific, because I really don’t know.
The theory, I guess, is the thugs doing the shooting weren’t inhuman enough to pull the trigger on an unarmed mother.
Sigh.
The first rule of citizen policing is, never give criminals a clue what you’re doing.
Seriously.
Agreed, but see also my post # 31.
The two women went outside in a very dangerous place in a very dangerous neighborhood to send a message, to give hope to others, and to try to change a pattern of violent behavior. They paid the ultimate price.
They deserve our respect for their commitment, bravery, and willingness to endanger themselves for what they thought might save other lives. They have joined the hundreds of thousands of other Americans who gave their lives to create, improve, or protect our nation, or the lives of other people around the world.
Hopefully their sacrifice will motivate others to work harder to stamp out the violence that plagues their neighborhood.
By your way of thinking I guess our military or police members killed in the line of duty picked the wrong job.
Law enforcement isn’t allowed to work.
Poor ladies...they didn’t get the email.
1. The south side isn’t worth saving.
2. It can’t be saved.
So it’s easy to get a ccw license in Chicago? Well, I’ll be!
New Surgeon General Warning: Walking the streets of Chicago could be hazardous to your health.
How can there not be cameras in these areas?
No offense, but that’s a load of bullshit, right there.
