States with Lotteries turn over millions to people who are utterly incapable every day.

Wills in couch cushions are like votes found in trunk of poll worker days after a close vote.

She either sought, and followed, the advise of an experienced probate/estate lawyer or she didn't.
Either was it sounds like at least one of her family members is behaving like a hood rat. Along with at least one hood rat lawyer.
And in the end...the lawyers will get all the $$$.
To: flaglady47
Yeah, much better to let the lawyers wrangle with it for the next 20 years, leaching off her estate until nothing is left for her heirs.

It’s playing out pretty much as expected.
To: Libloather
The lawyer’s comment....doesn’t have the skills....is ridiculous. Almost no one has the skills for any large estate. You hire an attorney or accountant to keep it straight.
To: Justa
The case of Jarndyce and Jarndyce has been resolved. However, the whole estate is found to have been absorbed in costs.

I keep all my wills - along with some spare potato chips - in my couch cushions.
