Making this behavior socially acceptable just makes people more likely to get goofy. Already we’re seeing pre-pubescent kids being encouraged to adopt their own gender identity by their parents.

What people refuse to explore is the impact of the endocrine system on sexual development, sexual identity, and mental health.
Follow me for a second. As the mom of a daughter with NCCAH and the accompanying hyperandrogenism, I know a lot about this subject. NCCAH is a hydrolaze deficiency that can result in insulin intolerance or resistance. Five to 12% of the girls with NCCAH have gender dysphoria (mine is one). Their bodies produce too many free floating adrenal androgens, which attach to the androgen receptors in their brains and are recognized as testosterone. My daughter doesn’t take hormones; her body is being masculinized naturally because of her condition. Of course she was depressed; she had no idea what was happening to her or why.
Now, my child has a bonafide medical condition, confirmed through extensive labs and DNA testing. My youngest son also has it, but it will impact him differently.

If we look at the amount of young people who are obese, have garbage diets, dont get enough sunshine, all of these can damage the adrenal system. A damaged adrenal system, if not addressed and corrected, can lead to excess adrogens.
The androgens cause gender confusion, which leads to stress, which messes up the adrenal system even more, which leads to more androgens. Wash, rinse, repeat, as the condition gets worse.
Post-partum depression is a prime example of an adrenal issue.
There is a reason an alarmingly high number of trans kids commit suicide, even after transitioning. Modern science is treating the symptoms, not the cause.
I can speak from personal experience that most trans specialists are only interested in one thing, pushing transition. I resisted and fought hard for my child.
Not all tans kids are whiny, attention seeking snowflakes. Some are truly suffering. Conservatives should not cede this ground to the left and their junk science.
Unfortunately, NCCAH is a progressive disorder. For my trans daughter, there is no cure, only management and mitigation. But there are thousands of others who can be cured; I believe that whole-heartedly, and demanding real studies and treating it as a medical condition (instead of a protected class) is the first place to start.

Why do half our college students have mental health issues? Too many mental health criteria or too many screwed up young Americans?
It’s the modern world. If you don’t have studies that demonstrate it, the claim is that there isn’t any evidence that it is so.
I came to the same conclusion and didn’t have to have a study or spend any $$$
