If George was ever actually going to finish those last two books, he can probably shelve them now too.
Ho hum. I watched GoT but didn’t see the need for a 1,000 year prequel.
AMazon has something similiar. Brittania. Can’t get into it.
Should I Google Naomi Watts to recognize her?
Great Grandmother of Dragons. (She was cute, a thousand years ago.)
They were so stupid to rush the last season. Now they’ve killed their golden goose.
The truth is Hollywood ruined it as they do everything. The twinks and the feminists that run the place destroyed a great series. By the end of Season 6 women ran every kingdom, as if. The best hand to hand fighter was of course also a woman.
Peak Blinders.
Can’t wait to see THAT one naked! Or not.
Yeah, G.O.T. had some nudity. But most of it wasn’t of anyone you would WANT to see!
I think GoT was a fluke of its time and won’t hold up in the long run. Much like Dallas of its time.
Whoah! Naomi isnt aging too well!
Shes definitely way past her shelf life.
There are tons of amazing fantasy book series yet to be adapted. One of the keys to GoT’s success is that it was new ground, you’d think producers would understand that.
I’d love to see L.E. Modesitt’s Saga of Recluce on film.
...well, there IS just so much makeup can do.....:(
Last 3 books it 2. Still better chance than Patrick Rothfuss and The Kingkiller Chronicles. He stated that he would finish sometime before the heat-death of the universe.
With a female show runner, female director, and several strong female leads; it sounds like they may have been on the road to another politically correct get woke and go broke murder of a successful franchise, like Star Wars.
According to one of the stars, it was to be a completely different setting. completely different political issues. And it is really poignant to what we are dealing with today.
Uh-oh. Sounds like another liberal lecture in the making, thinly disguised as entertainment
It was good through season 6, which is where they got past where he had been writing. Book 5 was the last published book but he had a rough manuscript of book 6 written. He has spent years turning it into a finished work. Getting close, finally.
Yep so would I. Problem is that there's not much sex in the series and it's overall concept and plotline would baffle anyone who hasn't read the books. I understand someone is doing a Wheel of Time series - that might be interesting. I would love to see Dennis McKiernan's Mithgar books on film - might even pay theater prices to see them. Also McKiernan's fairy tale books.
