Maximum Overdrive was awesome...
I did enjoy the soundtrack.
I wonder the percentages of people go to the movies anymore? We haven’t been in years and there are plenty of other types of this kind of entertainment that are close to free or even free.
Streaming competes with the movie theaters and the resolution of a home theater system very effectively competes with anything that you might see or hear at a theater.
The only disadvantage is that you might not be the first person on your block to see a movie. But at $10 - $15 per ticket plus the risk of the movie being terrible, I can wait.
While the pro-America Midway is a box office hit.
From the previews I have seen, it looked like “Dr Sleep” was parts of most of the other movies he’s had. This equals, I have seen it before.
With the exception of the IT movies, every film based on one of King’s books has flopped or underperformed recently. :D

Get woke, go broke!
I actually like “Christine”.
I read Doctor Sleep and enjoyed it.
The problem is that it’s not playing anywhere near me!
The TV Show Castle Rock on Hulu is pretty good. At least I think season 2 is better than season 1. Season 2 is loosely based on a modernization of the Kathy Bates character from “Misery”.
I also liked Misery btw.
He’ll now have to reduce his cocaine intake.
He either suffers from TDS or he’s been blackmailed to act like one.
I saw this weekend.
Thought it was pretty good.
Not as scary as the Shining.
Hollyweird ought to give me 15 bucks to go to a movie to see the crap they produce. They get jack from me.
Screw King. Go see the new MIDWAY. It was amazing on several levels. One, being so male centric in this age of the Strutting Rooster Girl. There was no compensating BadAssGirl ANYWHERE in the film. People did their jobs as what they were as they wished that the conflict didnt have to be.
My 9 yr old son kept turning to me,and saying THAT didn’t REALLY happen!? I said “THAT and a hell of a lot worse happened every day for 4 years” He was gob smacked.
lol - oh yes - everybody climb aboard and tell us about your "amazing" "journey"...soft-boiled girly claptrap.
[King has never supported Kubricks film]
Hey I hate to break it to everyone including FREEPERS but Terminator Dark Fate made it to #1 and has almost 200 million in worldwide sales.
Also, I thought it was pretty darn good. The best Terminator since the first one.
His talent has been grossly overestimated.
***Stephen Kings The Shining sequel***
The Stanley Kubrick version or the horrid 1997 three part made-for-TV version.
Yep. Liked his old stuff, stopped reading probably 15 years ago. Don’t think I’ve missed much, from what I’ve seen.
