"Rebecca Alexander at Besaw’s Restaurant in Portland, Ore., which gets mostly high marks from AllGo, the crowdsourced mobile app she founded to help larger people find comfortable options. But here, she shows how balancing on the bar chairs is hard because they are narrow, not deep enough, and have backs"

“For people who identify as large, plus-size or fat...”

Wtf... they don’t “identify” as fat, they ARE fat.

“We want to be comfortable and treated like humans.”

Seems to me they are actually asking to be treated like hippos or something. Humans are accommodated by human-sized furniture.

They have no shame to be seen pigging out in public.

We have become the shameless society, and the descent into the culture rot we witness everyday is the result.

As a fatty McFatterson myself, all I can say is whaaa! whaaa! the world doesn’t fit your pathetic wants and wishes!

Lose the weight if you’re so embarrassed.

If it bothers you, fix it! quit crying about it and fix it.

Good thing she found work at a non-profit. In my experience the morbidly obese aren’t very profitable employees.

Maybe eating out all the time has something to do with it?

I had a good friend who was a paraplegic as a result of an auto accident. When you don’t have functional legs to burn calories it takes a lot of self control to keep the fat off, but he did. One day we were in a parking lot and someone who was obviously just morbid obese pulled up in a handicapped spot and waddled to the back of their car to unload their electric wheelchair. Billy looked at them in disgust and said “If I could get out of this chair by taping my f##king mouth shut for a few months do you think I wouldn’t do it?”

Ok, let’s for a minute step back from all the hateful, self-righteous remarks.

Don’t even have to pretend to be a Christian. Just pretend good manners, or civil.

The cheap junk we utilize these days is a ridiculous.

The high chairs are just one example of infantising society. Adults do not need high chairs. Even dangerous for many.

Yes, fat people exist, work, have responsibilities and families. Often due to health concerns prior to being fat.

Old people exist too. All should be afforded dignity.
Seeking appropriate places to sit should not be only for the gifted, young, and physically selvete and agile.

Fat people do not disappear because you call them names or give them your oh so helpful sage wisdom.

Fat people are human. Whether anyone likes it or not. And most are not intentionally trying to be fat.

Try to at least remember outside appearance does not tell the whole story.

Prayers for those who struggle with physically or other concerns is very appropriate for Christians.

Human kindness or good manners is appropriate for all.
