There is a million teachers in America and this happens ten times a year? Hardly an epidemic.
I need more pictorial evidence before I can determine guilt or not guilty verdict.

She was dismissed...quietly..and then married a friend of mine.
That was 1971.
Two teachers from my HS, late 70’s are still married to their students they dated while in HS. A female classmate of mine started dating the the women’s basketball coach in her senior year 1979/80. Still married. He was 21 or 22 and she was 17/18.]

The Catholic Church has a LOT to answer for in their past abuses and cover-ups (and how some of the Dioceses have heavy financial difficulties due to the legal payoffs) and the current Pope looks like he will make things worse with his support of clowns like Evo Morales and economic Marxist principles.
Since you spewed boilerplate attacks on Catholicism, and fail to acknowledge admissions-against-interest by some traditional organs of the left (AP and Dept. of Education), about underaged exploitation by another bastion of the left (female teachers)...the logical conclusion was that you were a leftwing troll.
This isn't a case of "either or" or "quick distract from the Catholics". It's a matter of "there's a big rock over here which just got turned over, that nobody expected, that has a LOT of creepy-crawly things under it."

By the time my kids graduated public high school in Southern CA, I was convinced that many of these youngish teachers and counselors were at the job because they never wanted to grow up. They’re still juvenile thinking adolescents trapped in an adult body. They’re also very narcissistic. One of my sons friends claims to have “smashed” (have sex with) the guidance counselor a number of times. Having dealt with said guidance counselor, I totally believe it. Thankfully, she was never that kind to my son so he was safe!
