NBC Sitcom 'Superstore:' Men Hate Feminism Because They're 'Scared'

Soon co-worker Dina (Laura Ash) informs Jonah of the “pink tax,” a completely false idea that companies deliberately charge women more than men for the same products. (Women usually face higher prices because of issues like higher costs involved in the creation of their products. Businesses want to make money. They have no interest in charging women more out of a mythical allegiance to “patriarchy.”)

Go into any department store and compare the women's clothing section to the men's section. Women demand a huge selection of styles, colors, etc, which means stores have a huge inventory cost stocking women's clothes.

Then you have how many clothes women try on before making a decision.

Then you have the rate at which women buy something, take it home, change their minds, return, etc.

This man also loves children, grandchildren and functional families. I like to think my wife and I helped with all three because not one of my daughters is a bed wetting liberal drain on society. They are all great mamas. Two of the three make more than Dad and the third is married to a man who does. BTW, that makes me feel like a success, not a failure. I am happy for them and not jealous or resentful.

Feminism hates all the foregoing because it interferes with their acquisition of more power and more stuff.

I hate it because I remember being a young teen in the 70’s trying to do the polite thing and hold a door for a woman, only to have her rip my head off.

I had one try to do that to me, but I informed her that, while I was simply being polite, and had held the door not only for her, but for the other males who were directly behind me, but in front of her. She huffed off in a fit.

No we don’t hate feminism and yes we are scared. Feminists can end our careers with a single sentence. That scares the living heck out of me. Feminism is supposed to be about equality not superiority so I don’t hate it.

I have a co-worker who years ago held the door for a woman who was coming up behind him at a New York restaurant.

When she got to the door the woman turned out to be comedienne Anne Meara. He says she was very appreciative. “Awwww.....such a gentleman!” They had a nice chat and he says she was very gracious.
