"I thought inaction was the very essence of a strike."For the javelin catcher like Satanmani, yeah, it is.

"Lucky for them that April 22 falls on a Wednesday, a school day, and this gives the little kiddies a reason to skip school. As for the older participants, they look to score some good weed at the event.
Everyone else there will be media helping to promote their agenda."
I am so completely convinced that this climate crap is all a put-on by rich people to ensure the US elects legislators who will never agree to such a thing, that I hope all those kids enjoy a warm April day and get home safely.

We are doing our part in Canada, sending as much cold air as we can find. I can have a look for a bit more if that would help in any way.

I have a burn pile as large as my house.
Made up of formerly healthy hardwood and pine trees that
we uprooted in the prime of their lives to recover some tillable ground.
Couple bales of straw and some diesel. Poof.
Erf day.

MTV stopped being MTV about 25 years ago, when it took the ‘M’ out of music and replaced it with soap operas about catfighting black ho’s and pregnant 16 year old chicks from the L.A. barrios.

".... Inaction is not an option....."Inaction is definitely an option. I will engage in doing NOTHING for the Left's phony Earth Day.
I hate Leftists. I get so sick of their propaganda and attempts at indoctrination.
F*ck Earth Day.

Celebrating the birthday of Glorious Lenin, why do they lie so much?

For all intensive purposes.
They are going to show this.

I lie. Actually they will just have a loop of Scoldilocks staring at the camera/viewer saying "HOW DARE YOU?!" if you turn the channel on during the strike.

I suppose you are right. It’s not as though they’re missing out on learning much staying in school these days.

"MTV stopped being MTV about 25 years ago, when it took the M out of music and replaced it with soap operas about catfighting black hos and pregnant 16 year old chicks from the L.A. barrios."Close, Viking! 28 years ago.
The MTV documentary says out loud, 'We were just running videos that the record companies gave us, but Viacom complained they couldn't continue to monetize it.'
So they green-lighted The Real World in 1992 (and by then MTV had run out of steam anyway).
The first season was a mouse fart, then they got ahold of 'Puck'er for the second season The Real World:San Francisco, and a mentally-deranged bike messenger single-handededly created the algorithm of reality tv.
Puck flipping out on that HIV+ f@g Pedro, if you saw it, you didn't forget it -- Puck trashed the house, fucked up Pedro, threatened everyone including the cameramen and the producers -- pure awesomeness.
Then TRW immediately topped themselves -- they threw Puck the puck out in the next Ep11 -- creating a reality first: The Banishment!
I knew then and there MTV was finished. MTV2 tried to pick up the slack but went full retro except for Nirvana videos every 15 minutes.

Dear God Almighty. Ten hours of that? I would be homicidal or suicidal after 5 minutes.
On second thought, might be a good idea for the cupcakes.

Apologies for my not sticking the chronological landing, there. I'm starting to develop holes in my cheese. As for everything else, I'll take your word for it, because unless it was an Unplugged show or the occasional Beavis & Butthead indulgence, I surfed right past Channel 36. MTV used to be fun until it became a platform of social activism and tabloid exploitation focused on the dregs of society. I was a metalhead but that got replaced by shoe-gazing grunge in all its flannel glory, because metal had run out of creative steam and was becoming a parody of itself. I said piss on it, I got a life to live. Now, you don't even need cable - all you're required is a broadband connection, free data storage on your PC, a peer-to-peer downloading app, and you can create a 24/7 personal playlist that won't repeat itself for two years.
