I think a lot of this is being pushed for maximum hysteria. I don’t think it is the snowflakes as much as the some politicians and media seeing an opportunity and exploiting it to cause panic and wreck our economy.
Why close bars and restraints but leave a major subway open as in NYC doesn’t make sense to me.
I do not trust the media, the US or elsewhere, but there are a few things I trust even less: China and government in general.
Is it so difficult to consider a scenario where China accidentally released an unfinished bioweapon, for which they vehemently deny (of course), and for which Western governments are at least suspect is the case -- but will not reveal because we all see the panic from a 1% lethality virus and it wouldn't be mayhem compared to the knowledge that a bonafide bioweapon is rampaging the planet. I'm not saying that is necessarily the case, but it's a scenario that would cause world governments to react this way for good reason. A Spanish Flu pandemic is plausibly another case.
It's what you get when essentially 100% of the MSM colludes with one political party and many other organs of power in Washington and elsewhere in an attempt to reverse the outcome of an election and invalidate the next one.
It was only a matter of time before it happened. I'm glad it's happening now, because the guy in the White House is capable of dealing with it, and prevailing.
There may not be a National shutdown but it’s happening little by little in cities and states across the country. The only good places left will be the country. When I bought my land 20 years ago and built and moved out of L.A. 15 years ago I always fantasized about some national emergency. I am happy that I did move but not happy for our nation.
I’m thinking the Orson Welles “War of the Worlds” radio hysteria must have been a bit like this.

This had nothing to do with anyone thinking it is a conspiracy. This was an important tweet from the National Security Council’s twitter account responding to specific rumors that had been making their way around the media and elsewhere on Twitter the past few hours.
As it stands, we're facing severe economic hardship as this draws out, and even the national quarantine rumored here doesn't seem implausible given the trajectory, which might not just be the last nail in the coffin for the economy, but the final straw before civil unrest.
With a potential Sanders candidacy, and potential for revolution inducing hardship, we must move forward with extreme care.
Unfortunately, it seems like 2020 is going to be a very precarious year.
That would require martial law to be imposed...
What does national lockdown mean anyway?
People will self impose and lock themselves in their house for weeks at a time?
Like that will actually happen.
People who buy into a "national lockdown" are either brain dead or simply sheep ready for the slaughter
I now hate the media more than the Democrats.
