Was at a 4th of July party in Jackson, WY, last year where he was also in attendence. He looked great. Did not talk to him, however. Sorry to hear he passed.

Good lord - to be a newbie and see young James Brolin and Tom Sellick are your competition? Even had I been handsome I’d have had second thoughts. Thanks for hanging in there, Lyle, and going on to show how to turn a good idea into a great living.

Never got to meet Lyle Waggoner during my days out on the Loony Left Coast yet he is joined in death today by Stuart Whitman who died at age 92.

Back in in January of 1977, as I recall, I was visiting a pal who worked crew on a Robert Stack's "Most Wanted" TV series that ran for a couple of years. Anyway, Stuart Whitman was the guest star that week's "The Tunnel Killer" episode. My buddy Saul introduced me to him at the craft service table. He seems a very likeable guy as we chatted for a second.

I told him a really enjoyed him in John Wayne's “The Comancheros” and he laughed, saying just about everyone mentions that film as their favorite of his.

Add as I remember, "Heck, being on screen with John Wayne in anything was always special."

As an aside, little known today, Jo Ann Harris... , was on that series and she was even more of a babe in person that on the little or big screen. I must admit I spent more time watching her that Stuart Whitman that day. And, dang it, Saul never introduced me to her. Jo Ann is still alive as far as I know and she would be a couple years younger than me being born May 27, 1949. So, Jo Ann, I am available--

Rest in Peace Lyly and Stuart.

Take care & God Bless,

Danny
