“Oh, good. Call in retired ELDERLY people to deal with a virus that’s particularly dangerous to the elderly.”

This will also contribute to solving their health care and pension problems. Brilliant, actually.

They are the most at risk. Is this satire?

Latest official figures show 115 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 in the UK and one person has died.

Hmmmm. Johns Hopkins lists 1,960 cases and 56 deaths. Big difference. Which is right?

Both, probably. Johns Hopkins numbers are updated for today, whereas it looks like OP posted an article that was written on March 6th.

Solves social security.

Older folks here voted 55 percent Trump.

Now we’ve got everyone accepting a universal basic income. They’ll be voting for more of that.

Using med students is a good idea in terms of giving basic care and recognizing that the patient is decompensating. Unfortunately, physicians and nurses have remarkably different skill sets in some respects (use of specialized equipment in particular—IV pumps, etc.).

Sure, bring in a bunch of people over 60 when they’re the group hardest hit.

To save a bunch of young sick Mooselimbs?
