I don’t agree with all of their theology, but this piece was interesting, especially if the Chinese Virus came from them eating bats.
Needs more garlic.....................
Now, that is not Batshit crazy! Written over 2500 hundred years ago by the God of the universe. There is a boatload of other very good information in that book, too.
Thank you.
There is a book titled ‘None of These Diseases’. It goes into great detail about all the benefits of following the OT prohibitions about certain foods. Whether one aligns themself theologically with the Bible or the Torah, the benefits are still there.
I have always found bats to be loathsome-looking creatures, alive or cooked.
Then again, when the jews did not get as sick as the rest of the population, they were often accused of poisoning everyone else, and pogroms ensued...
Back in 1967 I drew that Bat signal bat on every school book and desktop I got near.
I gotta quit eating those salted bat wings!
Kind of one of the reasons I quit caving. All the caves we went to had bats and cavers had gotten inhalation rabies. When that risk got thrown into the mix caving wasnt acceptable risk anymore.
The very large bats, foxbats and such, may not even be related to the bats we normally think of. They have physical characteristics more like primates and may actually be an off branch of Primates way back when.
Animals eating animals no one else will eat
Bats are the only mammals that can truly fly, but it turns out that they have other unique characteristics that separate them from most (if not all) other mammals. In a project headed by Dr. Peng Zhou, an international research team did extensive studies on bats.
Bats are hosts to 100 different viruses, many of which are harmful or even lethal to humans.
1. The team wanted to discover how bats can carry so many, and such deadly, viruses without getting sick themselves.
Turns out that bats have a special ability.
Check out article.
Green chili bat jerky is to die for!
He apparently also had it rigjt with swine flu.
And then there’s Hendra Virus, fatal to horses and humans in Australia:
https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/conditionsandtreatments/hendra-virus
Scientists believe that the reservoir (host) of the Hendra virus in Australia is the fruit bat (flying fox), which appears to carry the virus without suffering any ill effects, and excretes the virus in its urine. Exactly how it is transmitted from bats to horses is unknown. One theory is that the horse ingests pasture or fruit contaminated with infected bat urine, droppings or saliva. The virus in the horses body fluids (including blood, urine, saliva or nasal secretions) can then be transmitted to a person during close contact.
