First, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if this is as effective as it says. But second, how meaningful is it that all of 60 infected patients got better, when only one in something like 300 infected patients fails to get better? I would need to see much larger studies to be impressed to the extent he is.

Well, the same question could be asked of ALL therapies given to infected patients today. Why not just DO NOTHING and let the patient’s body cure itself? After all, he has a 299 out of 300 chance of getting better.

I remember the controversy about treating H Pylori. Years ago I listened to Dr. Mirkin on the radio. He was way ahead of his time for many aspects of medical treatment. He spoke for years about a cure for stomach ulcers, maybe intensive use of antibiotics but I don’t remember exactly. At the time stomach ulcers were thought to be incurable. I wonder how many doctors preferred treating a patient for the rest of his life rather than finding a cure. Sad thought.
Don’t all these doctors know that there is NO Money to be made by using existing off the shelf drugs that are cheap and have been around forever??
So this must be really cheap to cure. Well, there’s your answer.

It has nothing to do with science or medicine or curing people; it is 100% about unseating #badorangeman. That has been obvious for a few months. The evidence is just stacking up at this point.
If I read this article correctly, high risk patients ( includes all 60+) are put on the HCQ cocktail when symptoms begin. Many people, especially younger people, have no symptoms when they test positive, having taken the test due to a work requirement, exposure to someone else who had tested positive,etc. There is no need to medicate them at all.
