The battle with cancer is all consuming. That this young man could continue to work the long hours of filming speaks well of his effforts.
May the Lord bless and guide him on his way.
Unfortunately, I have never seen one of his films, but very sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age.

I’m sorry to hear of his death. I saw the movie on a flight and I thought it was very hokey, what used to be called “blaxploitation.” But at the same time, it had black villains as well as heroes, so it wasn’t a complete farce.
He was handsome, had a great voice, and even with a shallow part seemed to have an empathy that enabled him to connect with the audience and not be a cardboard character. He probably had the gift to move on to the wider world. I’m sorry that he didn’t get the chance.

A bit creepy that he passed away at 42 (he would have been 43 in November) on Jackie Robinson Day. He was pretty good in that role.
The other stuff he did was, IMHO, fairly non-memorable.
