Sued youtube yet, commie traitor?
For some reason, the song (which I thought was pretty good) was not included in the movie. Good enough song, surprisingly fun movie, but separated by legal squabbling.
I think the song appears in the end credits?
I think so anyhow. Have not seen it since it’s VHS debut in the 80’s.
Another idiot who doesnt get how music licensing works.

Exactly.
My bad, I remembered the movie clips in the video.
Yes! There was the weird thing of the movie clips being in the video, but the song not being in the movie! Only multiple lawsuits can make something like that happen.
ROTF!!!!
Note to Mr. Grant: Thanks for having that kitten. I hadn’t seen that video before. It’s a hoot!
How could the advertising company not know that you have to pay for the rights to use somebody’s music?
Maybe they did? A lot of these complainers start these copyright complaints after Trump had the right to use the song and they just didn’t like it.
Isn’t Eddy Grant a one hit wonder? I would think this would enrich him in some way.......poor Eddy, what a fraud
The only other song I can remember from Grant was Killer on the Rampage which is a far better song than Electric Avenue.
He started out in a mixed-race band called “The Equals” back in Britain in the late 60s, that’s him on guitar.

Oh, there is quite the list. Muskrat Love, Afternoon Delight, anything from Helen Reddy, Boy George, Cher, George Michael and Wham, Air Supply, etc. I would throw in some Barry Manilow but that might anger some Freepers.
Whoever is in charge of these is hilarious....!!!
Bmi and ascap get their fees, too bad eddie.
One hit wonder....if Trump wasn’t playing it no one would be!!!!
I remember this in college- isn’t copywrite law limited for a number of years?
This song is like 30 years old, isn’t it?
Probably more like people went to Eddy and said, “Hey Eddy, Orange Man is using your song, you’d better do something about it.”
A lot of pressure on entertainers to go with the flow.
What does Michelle Obama have to do with this?
