And even in his one last chance for redemption, begging God for one more chance, he did not go to the FBI to give all he knew about the mafia. He didn’t even disband his own family. He simply washed his hands of it and gave it to Vincent. Like Pontius Pilate
I think differently, I think he changed when he saw Vito in the hospital after Vito was shot and noticed he wasn't being guarded, I think that was the moment he decided he would be part of the 'family business'.
I pinged not so much for the Godfather III stuff but the background stuff of the first two movies. As I said this is long but I found the background stuff fascinating. The fate of the new version of III is the least interesting thing in all this.
I would like to see a prequel that expands how Vito became as powerful as he did, you don’t quite get the whole story from the GF II flashbacks.
in that case, apologies and thank you. I shall read
tom vs. mike.
somehow get the son involved, even if he does not know he is doing something to harm his father, like fredo in the 2nd one.
Could hatred between them have gotten strong enough to kill one of their sons?
wow.
instead we get Vincent, who did a good job acting, I will admit, especially since he was aborted decades earlier, according to the book.
Is there anybody who just hates the first two Godfather movies?
Well that explains why Vincent is angry.
lol. you’ll notice he sometimes walks with a limp!
Tom was supposed to make his mother go to Las Vegas and watch Fredo?
Andy Garcia was doing method acting playing a rewarded kid
He still didn’t have to kill those two men. MANY others could have
And in my other post, when he is at his Bottom and asks God for one more chance, he doesn’t go to the FBI and destroy organized crime, he doesn’t even dissolve his family, he simply turns it over to another killer.
Is an endangered father enough to turn the vast majority of men into animals?
There would be more vigilantes on the street than we could count.
There aren’t.
I see right through him.
I love a good excuse to do something bad. Always have :)
GF3 was not that bad. I really enjoyed much of it. Garcia was very good. The whole Vatican angle. And I thought Sophia was good too.
No problem. Apologies from me if you didn’t like the read. You know the Godfather better than I do but most of what Coppola says here was new and interesting for me.
Apologies if I didn’t like the read??
You forwarded it to me, which was a Nice thing to do.
Who cares if I liked it or not? Which I did.
In NYC you could get arrested for apologizing like that :)
Which is why you have class and too many of us here don’t lol
Glad you liked it. While not born here I was raised in Canada. For Canadians apologies are a feature not a bug. That said I’ve been to NYC many a time so I know where you speak of. :)
