Sugar Pops are a lot better since the manufacturer cut the amount of sweetener by about half, I would guess, as an economy measure disguised as ‘doing for the children’.

I wondered about that, too-I did see a female doc on Newsmax a couple of weekends ago talking about obesity being a Wuhan virus magnet, but she was the only one...

I loved the Temptations, especially the original lineup.

If nothing else could have been old age, low immune system. On a side note, really enjoy the movie about them. Whenever I come across it when flipping around I’ll watch it.

Still not gonna eat that-I’m sure it is an acquired taste-I grew up in a remote area-my mom was a naturalist/health nut, so we ate fresh, organic and locally produced except for a few boxed items from the store in town-breakfast cereal was oatmeal-not the instant kind-there was never any boxed/cold served cereal in our house, so I never ate it...

Not the food..but the people who eat it. Clearly he ate too much of whatever he was eatin’. No shame...just facts. Calories Matter. Anyway the report doesn’t say how underlyin’ his underlyin’ was.

Otis Williams, 76, is still there from the original lineup.

David Ruffin was amazing, but Dennis Edwards was great, too.

....Sad to see them gone. When I hear rap "music" I think of the Temptations and the Four Tops and wonder, "WTF happened?" That Motown music on Armed Forces Radio was one of the bright spots of a nasty year in Southeast Asia. I'll never forget The Temptations. .....

Same here. Long live Armed Forces Radio and 'Rock and Roll' music fresh out of Motown. Loved listening to CCR while busting jungle.

Pardon my lack of knowledge-but I was unaware that metabolism could shift that drastically and not be brought back to normal-is it caused by another physical condition, and is there a treatment/cure? It sounds awful and rare...

No need to be an ass. You have no idea what his diet & health situation was.

Like another freeper on this topic remarked about his own metabolic issues, it's not so simple.

I stopped eating fast food and soft drinks, never been a smoker or drinker, remained active yet gained weight which was not my goal.

Then I discovered Duane and Clapton. Wow.

Tell me about it. It's only been a couple of years that I've gotten into Clapton. Up until Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas last September, my music library was about 40 years old, though it was varied.

During my tour in Germany (77-81), I bought on average ten albums a month, and mixed my own cassettes. Most afternoons at work, I'd listen to Radio Luxembourg as well. But Clapton was never a big part of that, I was more into Dire Straits, a band my girlfriend loved.

That concert really opened my eyes, best I ever attended. It lasted over 8 hours, simply awesome.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band wowed me with "Keep on Growing", I'm embarrassed to say I'd never heard the song before, which was on the Derek and the Dominos album. Clapton and Bobby Whitlock wrote the song.

Eric and Duane had something special going, Duane's death was devastating to Eric.

I am sorry, but that is an absolute physical impossibility. There were no fat people in concentration camps. I can guarantee you that if I were to drop you off on a desert island, and pick you up in a month you would be considerably smaller

“is it caused by another physical condition, and is there a treatment/cure?”

No one is even looking for it, because it is impossible—you know, like heavier-than-air flight.

Does it matter if it’s Yacht Rock? Yacht Rock is just a classification started decades later.

“I am sorry, but that is an absolute physical impossibility.”

To quote Katharine Hepburn in The African Queen: “Nevertheless.”

“There were no fat people in concentration camps.”

It is possible that the cause(s) of this condition only came into being after WWII...you know, during the cold war.

“I can guarantee you that if I were to drop you off on a desert island, and pick you up in a month you would be considerably smaller”

Well, now, that’s a good reason to wish for wealth. If I were able, I would participate in your experiment, just for the amusement of seeing your jaw drop.
