No question he is the best hard counter puncher of all-times.
He does not let a slight or a lie go.
The question is starting to suck up the oxygen in the room.
No matter what he says or does, if he keeps addressing it, they will keep asking.
The more he adds to it, the more it gives them permission to continue to puruse it in a different way.
Look at the “stand by” comment.
There is no benefit to continue to address it.
One comment beyond the trees was perfect:

If you follow Florida Dude polls on Twitter it's gonna be a blood bath. I like his methodology and he talks to LIVE registered voters. He just finished posting Washington State this morning here. Might have to scroll a bit to get to them. For some reason he doesn't do threads, so you have to scroll his time line. Below is a sample:
